Ivor Cutler, a Scots performer born in 1924 who, according to Spike Milligan, “but for the public’s total lack of appreciation would be a rich man”, has for many years been plying a unique form of poetry, music, comedy and art which would probably defy any attempt at explanation. This series offering a glimpse of his personal kingdom was followed by another, in a similar vein but on Radio 4, entitled Cutler the Lax.
