Jason Flowers signs for Blue Sox

Ex-Castleford Tigers back Jason Flowers has agreed terms with Halifax Blue Sox.
The Tigers released the 26-year-old at the end of last season and Flowers looks set for a swift return to The Jungle in next Wednesday's (30th) friendly between the Blue Sox and Tigers (ko 7.45pm).

Flowers appeared as a trialist in the recent friendly against Salford and Sox coach Steve Linnane has spent the last couple of weeks running the rule over the Scotland international and was delighted when the player finally agreed terms.

"We are very happy to have a player of Jason's proven ability and experience on board," said Linnane. "As well as that experience he brings us strength in depth, can fill a number of positions and I expect him to be a very useful addition.
