Castleford Tigers were
celebrating last night the news that four of their squad have been called up
by Scotland, a bigger representation than any other side.
Adrian Vowles and Darren Shaw are veterans of last year's World Cup whilst
Jason Flowers won caps for Scotland two years back, but missed out through
injury last year.
For Ian Tonks though, if called into the final 17, it will be his first cap.
All of the players qualify for Scotland through the ancestry rule. Darren
Shaw¹s mother is from Lanark, Adrian Vowles' grandmother is from the Mull of
Kintyre, whilst Ian Tonks' grandfather and Jason Flowers' grandmother are
from Scotland.
