Eagles were knocked out in the group stages after suffering defeats at
the hands of the eventual finalists London KooGas and Lezignan.
The Eagles recorded their only victory against the North Wales Coasters,
although the tournament winners, the KooGas, had to wait until 30
seconds
from the end of play to break down a solid Eagles defence to take the
game.
A similar fate meant the early exit for the other Scottish
team, the Glasgow Bulls. The Bulls lost all three pool matches,
however, didn't disgrace themselves and ran both the Navy and Belfast
close in their Pool D games. The results in full:
