My first GI Joe was the Japanese Soldier of the World way back in 1969, and when I got back into the hobby, I was drawn back to that original soldier. I still have him, and I have assembled a large force of IJA and IJN soldiers to stand with him. I started kitbashing Japanese soldiers immediately after 21st Century created their IJA soldier, and haven't stopped.  It was a niche that very few others were in at the time, and one I enjoyed researching and playing in.

My original Japanese SOTW GI Joe This is the one who started me in the 1/6th world, many years ago.

These pages will feature a bit of historical research, pictures of my favorite kitbashes, etc.  For more pictures, click on the pages above, and see more pics of my Japanese Sailors, Soldiers, and Samurai.  On this page are some of my favorites. There are plenty more to see on the individual pages.

IJN Zero Pilot

Japanese Soldier from 1900: Boxer Rebellion

Japanese Red Cross Volunteer

Armored Car Crewmember, reloading and doing maintenance.  The car is totally imaginary, nothing like it actually existed in the Japanese Service.  However, they did use Lewis Machine guns (as shown here) for armament on their lightest tanks and armored cars.

My Converted Stuart Tank, being reloaded by its' new IJA crew outside a bombed out house. The Japanese converted several captured M3 Tanks they took in the Philippines, however I had to use an M5 as my model, since no one makes an M3.
