New Chair Professor in School of Medical Science and Technology (Sept 23rd, 2003)
SMST welcomes Professor Sujoy K. Guha, newly appointed S. R. Sengupta Chair Professor, who joined the School on August 7th, 2003. Professor Guha, a B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur, received his Ph.D in Medical Physiology from St. Louis, USA. He then joined the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi and also obtained his MBBS degree. One of the founders of Biomedical Engineering in India, Professor Guha is internationally renowned in the areas of Rehabilitation Engineering, Bioengineering in Reproductive Medicine and Technology for Rural Health Care. He has received several awards and has more than 100 research papers in cited journals.
