Background Information
Tanzania Youth Vision Association (TYVA) is a non-partisan, not for profit, non - governmental (NGO) Youth organization registered in 2002 (S.0.No. 11454) to work in the civil society sector, focusing on youth awareness raising and empowerment. It was formed to feel a gap of strong youth organizations and to address the challenge of poor youth involvement and participation.

Observing a free democratic and peaceful society, in which there is active and effective youth participation.
Our Mission
TYVA is dedicated towards promoting empowerment and self realization of young people through mounting awareness raising, capacity building and networking programmes which are youth centered, gender sensitive, environmental friendly and readily accessible to vulnerable youth.
Strategic Objectives
- To enhance the socio-economic status of young people through appropriate empowerment programs that facilitates the realization of their potential and opportunities for poverty alleviation.
- To promote and enhance networking among youth and youth organizations and facilitate the formation of new ones where necessary
- To promote responsible citizenry and prepare youth to be good leaders
- To enable young people acquire knowledge and conceptual capacity through dialogue, information generation and sharing.
- To promote and facilitate the engagement of young people in policy issues at all levels.
- To contribute towards enhancing youth health and social welfare.
