A careless comment
Hurled at me without warning.
Enraging, agitating.
My tolerance fading.
How can you be such a fool?

Bite my tongue so hard it bleeds.
What frivilous lips you do possess.
Are you completely blind to my new found happiness?
You don't know what's right for me.

Why do you insist?
As I continue to resist?
You say I continue to be missed.
But make each minute here consist
Of your false know-it-all words.
You can not know what I feel.

They say that years give off wisdom.
Why does this hold to be untrue for you?
You see everything as black and white
And only your beliefs as being right.

If only you could view things from my eyes
Before you proclaim such lies.
If only you could see me for what I am.
Responsible, Capable.
I'm not your little girl anymore.
Its a fact you can not continue to ignore.
