introduction and mini profile

Nummy Gumdrops was started on May 18 or 19, when I was really bored in class. I drew super-deformed characters all over my notebook, and this one character stayed in my mind for a while. She looked so cute with fuzzy hair in pigtails.
I kept on making up more characters and here they are. There are seven main girls and three main guys. They are as different as they can be, each has a distinct look and personality. One of the girls, has beads for eyes!
Nummy Gumdrops is a manga about a kawaii pink haired girl in high school. She is pretty, but not drop-dead gorgeous... and she has a lot of trouble learning how to communicate with the opposite sex. She thinks she has problems flirting, but it seems to the other girls that she is the biggest flirt in the whole school!
Our pink-haired heroine, Bomee (named after my buddy's friend) is nicknamed Gummie by her friends because she is known for giving the boys she like gumdrops. The profile section has a summary of all the main characters. The manga will be updated 'weekly'... so please remember to visit again and have fun!

Bomee aka Gummie to her pals is a junior in High School, in America, not Japan... and yes she has pink hair! She loves kids and animals, and boys! On the outside, she is always cheerful and sweet to her pals, but Bomee is actually a tormented teenager facing troubles at home... Bomee can cook, but she hates to clean! She is also learning to drive... but she gets nervous so easily! she looks so goofy!

This is Kent, the hottie! He has natural blue hair! Kent can be both serious and playful, just like he can be all poker-face and then happy... Kent has many sides to him, he is adored by many girls. He has dated almost all of Bomee's friends, and currently he is dating Kat... He never paid much attention to our pink-hair heroine until... Kent is a devoted big brother who holds two part-time jobs and manages to do well in school!

Rei-lei is a pretty tomboy type, who is also one of Bomee's best friends. Rei-lei appears to be the most normal girl in the manga, but...
Rei-lei loves video games, horror-flicks, and flowers, what a strange girl. However, she lacks a sense of style, hates cooking and cleaning, but she can fix up any electronics!

Jin is absolutely drop dead gorgeous! She has style, and a great figure, and her only competition in the whole school is Silver... She and Silver are definitely not buddies... Jin use to date Kent, she and Kent are now good buddies. Jin is a talented musician, she can sing and play the piano. Jin is one lucky rich and talented *itch.

This is Silver, another drop dead gorgeous babe, who is very competitive, but nice to others as well. She tends to get jealous easily, and she can hide her anger very well... At first she didn't like Bomee because Bomee hangs out with Jin (surprising!) but later on they become buddies! Silver wants to be a supermodel in the future!

This little sophomore in high school is after Kent! She is one overreacting snob who doesn't know when to stop being an idiot. A typical teenagaer out for attention, Jackie doesn't have many friends... she is actually a depressed child. Jackie is the one with beads for eyes... kawaii eh? I actually like this character.

Kat, named after me! Kat is a senior at the school, and she is Kent's current girlfriend... or so it seems. Kat is truly nice to others, but rumors tend to follow her. Maybe its because people are jealous of her? At the age of 17, she already has written over five fantasy novels, and is very famous! She also writes songs for Jin to sing...

Mister Raging hormones, Steven, boyfriend of no one's. He really likes Silver, and about every other girl in the manga. He is however, really sweet. His face is so kawaii... His favorite thing in the world is anime, he is a manga artist, and his manga is read by almost all his classmates... He tends to over react too, and sometimes he has acne problems...

What is up with all these rainbow colored hair girls? Well, this is rain, and she has a cat on her head. She and Bomee are related... they are cousins. Watch how they are best friends at first, but due to constant comparisons at home, they are drawn apart. The cat is a present from Bomee, it likes Bomee more than Rain... hehe

Last, we have Silver's loyal boy toy, and Bomee's best guy friend Joey! Joey never realizes how much he "loves" Bomee when he has Silver, because when Kent and Bomee do get together, Joey feels confused. Joey plays basketball and shoots pool like a pro. In the future, Joey's dream is to be a videogame designer.
