um hi. well, this is my first time writing an editorial, so yeah. well, im making this editorial because of what i have been thinking about lately. i have been to thousands upon thousands of dbz sites in the past 7 months, yet ive only been to about 1% of all of the dbz sites out there. and something i have just realized though is the suckiness of the sites. well, they dont really suck, but the fact that they are the same as everybody elses. everybody always talks about "oh i have an original layout". that is plain bull shit. A) a layout does no make the site. B)all sites have the exact same layout, by using tables, unless they have site builder and decide to do something cool (like pfp used to have, but sadly he changed it *wipes away a tear*). Also, if you are familar with my old site (ATUA), you would have seen that pull out menu. At first i thought i had an original layout, but when i looked around more, i saw a lot of sites with a pull out menu. and the old site s-revolution, that has just closed recently, had one of the most original layouts ive ever seen. but sadly enough, i saw more and more layouts like that. and yet, people still say "i have an original layout". the second thing is graphics. every once and a while i would like to see a page with killer graphics, but i dont want a site to say "im the best, i have killer graphics". along with the layout, graphics do not make a site. info is pointless on a site. every site has it yes, but its pointless. its just a waste of space. unless you have something info that nobody else has, than it is just pointless to have info up. i mean, by the time somebody fines your site (assuming your site isnt very popular, which 98% of the dbz sites out there are not popular) than they already know all this information. and than ofcoarse there is stolen content. thats the thing i hate the most. yet people do it for hits. hits..ugh...ill get to hits later. than there is multimedia. first off with the whole full episode and movie thing....stupidest thing ever. ive only been to three sites that had original working episodes, db vortex, PBX Anime (but he had to take his down due to his host), and Soupha Saiyan Pride....but i dont believe that site is around anymore. almost every site will say they have full episodes, but dont, or if they do, they are directly linking to somebody elses. that is the worst thing to do. or if they do, they stole them from db vortex. and than there is movie clips. gah. that is just stupid. excpeccially people like da black goku, who puts there logo on them so "people wont steal them"...blah w/e. i have nothing against da black goku, im just saying i think its stupid to do that. than ofcoarse images and gifs. these are the things that i hate. there are some, about 100, sites out there that have original images and gifs. but others just steal them. and the thing that i absolutely hate the most is when people have that non right click thing, so that people dont steal it from them, although they didnt originally create that image. its just stupid. and ofcoarse there is humor....humor. people think they will be funny by putting "if your obbssessed with dbz" "things never said" "good, bad, ugly" ect., but those are on every single site. its pointless to have something like that up. ofcoarse there are people like one of my friends down at DBDZ who has the best humor around. by all of this, almost every single dbz site on the web is exactly the same...and it just makes me sick. forced voting....the only people who use that are the cocky idiots who think that there site is big, but cant get any votes. if your site is big, than wouldnt you get votes? pop up ads for hits, whats the point of that. ha, hits. the stupidest thing ever. everysite has a hit counter, even planet namek. well, SSSGoku took his off, but that was after everybody found out that he was hiding his *cough lying bastard cough* (nothing against sssgoku, i just think its stupid to lye about a stat counter). i thing i also hate is when sites get a lot of staff members "because they couldnt handle it on there own". a site is suppose to be fun to make, so only do it for fun. i can understand getting staff because they are your friends, but getting people you dont even know just to make your site better is stupid....and also having 10 staff members is also stupid. my favorite sites are the one with one person....you can tell that that person has a lot of dedication to there site, not what you see in the dbz comunity now a days. affiliates is also another thing i hate. i can understand affiliating with your friends, and by affiliating i have made some friends, but when having 20 affiliates, its just the stupidest thing ever. just to note, this editorial has nothing to do against dbz, only dbz sites. the corrupted webmasters who make them. and the corruption of hits that drive them to insanity (people like Tenshinhan Ichidou (sp?). i used to love his site...now he has so many affiliates, a shitty layout, no content updates, and just hit crazy. i still love his site, and i have nothing against him...its just the fact that he has changed so much). and there are still some sites out there that are great, like the before mentioned DBDZ, and The Yajirobe Fan Shrine. and there are still some sites a visted ever so often, like this one and my friends Final Dragonball, and the sites i vist every day for db information like planet namek....but just the fact that there are so many sites that are the same just make me sick....and they all think they are different *spits* w/e.
