Now, we know that making a movie would be impossible. Look at the techincalities. We'd have to film Jake all at once because he'd age, and getting it all right would be pretty impossible because of the way time is in Roland's world. But lets dream. Cus a movie would be pretty awesome, but i dont think King would agree to it. Movies usually never turn out and good as the books, and the Dark Tower, unless masterfully directed, probebly wouldn't turn out either. But i have been thinking that if a movie would be attempted, i think The Gunslinger would be about the only book that could be made into a movie. And it would work, too. But i would just like to leave it up to the imagination, wouldn't you? I haven't gotten a whole dream cast up yet... it's gonna take a while... but i have at least one!
Roland of Gilead: For Roland i would have to choose John Terry. I saw him in the 1992 film Of Mice and Men directed by Gary Sinsie. John Terry plays Slim, a character who is very much like Roland himself. Check out the movie and see for yourself, the man even looks like Roland.
Jake Chambers: At first i thought Haley Joel Osment would be a good Jake. But Jake is more of a boy, a helpless boy, and Haley looks older than he is. I now believe Dylan Capannelli would be a good Jake. You've seen him play 5 year old Titus on that TV series Titus. Also the young Darth Vader Jake Lloyd would be ok too.
