Dirty girls ep 18

Renegade slayer Faith (Eliza Dushku) returns to Sunnydale just in time to help Buffy and her gang fight a nefarious new foe.

The unusually violent episode opens as a girl flees a group of zombies and takes refuge with a cleric named Caleb (Nathan Fillion). However, it quickly becomes clear that Caleb is not on God's side, but the First's. He asks her to deliver a threatening message to the “original, accept-no-substitutes Slayer”...before stabbing the girl. As the Scoobies respond by preparing for battle, Buffy copes with the return of Faith, who, much to Buffy's chagrin, bonds with Spike. Meanwhile, in a lighter vein, Xander fantasizes about wild times with potential slayers.

Empty places ep 19

As Sunnydale evacuates in anticipation of the big battle, Caleb works with The First in setting a trap for Buffy. While the unlikely pair of Spike and Andrew investigates a mission that had been attacked by Caleb in the past, Faith takes the potentials out for a night of blowing off steam, causing Buffy to lose control of the group.

Touched ep 20

While the Bringer army forges an arsenal, and The First and Caleb plot together, a dejected Buffy holes up alone, and Faith leads the potentials in capturing a Bringer in order to get info on The First's plan. Spike confronts Faith before going to Buffy's side where he gives Buffy a pep talk that eventually sends her back into the fight with Caleb while, simultaneously, Faith and the potentials raid The First's army of Bringers.

End of days ep 21

Buffy reclaims her role as leader before going back into battle with a newly-juiced Caleb...and Angel shows up to help Buffy in the fight.

Chosen ep 22

In the stunning series finale, Angel and Buffy have an emotional reunion… Buffy hatches a plan which leads the gang towards one last awesome mission into the Hellmouth itself.

On Buffy, Faith and Angel both return to help fight to save Sunnydale's soul. Could this be a new beginning for Buffy and Angel, or an end to the town of Sunnydale as we know it?

+ Buffy is stabbed- Faith rushes to Buffy (haha, Faith still cares a big deal about Buffy so it seems, great news for us Fuffyshippers)

Variety.com :

Eliza Dushku has signed on to topline Fox's untitled grad student project. Dushku, known for her steady gigs on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel," has inked for the lead role in the 20th Century Fox TV/Original TV untitled project. The drama from Rob Cohen ("The Fast and the Furious") and Jon Feldman ("American Dreams"), revolves around a woman who graduates from college and discovers that she's able to save lives by changing the course of events. Cohen is set to direct. Feldman said Dushku embodied all of the characteristics his lead character had. "Eliza was always the prototype for the role," Feldman said. "To actually get the prototype is an amazing thing. She's incredibly smart, sexy and strong off-camera as well as on. She is in every sense of the word the lead," he said. Dushku, who recently signed with CAA for representation, starred last year on the silver screen in "City by the Sea" and "The New Guy." She is managed by The Firm.

Buffy 'to live on with new star'

2003 - 02 - 14

Cult TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer will continue with a new star when lead actress Sarah Michelle Gellar departs, according to reports.

Eliza Dushku, who has already appeared in the show as Faith, will take over from Gellar who is leaving to pursue her film career, according to the Express newspaper

Dushku will reportedly keep the role of moody Faith, rather than becoming the new Buffy.

The move would leave the door open for Gellar to come back and make the occasional cameo appearance.

It has not yet been announced when Gellar will leave the series.

Before taking over, Dushku is seto to appear alongside Gellar in the final three episodes of the current series, which is shown on Sky One on Thursdays.

Eliza Dushku will become the show's new star

The show's producers had looked at several different options before settling on 22-year-old Dushku, said the paper.

Other ideas considered included making Buffy's younger sister Dawn the main star.

Gellar decided to leave the show last summer to concentrate on her film career.

She has already starred in the live action film Scooby-Doo, alongside husband Freddie Prinze Jr, and Cruel Intentions.

Gellar made her name with Buffy, which has become one of the most popular teenage TV shows worldwide.

She built up a cult following as a high school student with supernatural powers to hunt down and dispatch vampires.

Dushku is not nearly as well known. She was discovered at the end of a five-month search throughout the United State to play the lead role of Alice opposite Juliette Lewis in the film That Night.

She has appeared in several films and has worked alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert DeNiro and Ellen Barkin.

Oh my God, our dreams may finally come true ----> A Faith Spinoff, Faith on tv every week, woooohoooow!!!!
