Reportedly, in Luke 22:18, at the Last Supper Jesus said, “I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes”. So after His self-imposed abstinence I’m expecting Jesus to truly savour His first glass of wine when He returns to claim His kingdom. And I really want to see that.

I’ll have a glass of wine with Jesus

The day God’s kingdom comes

I’ll toast the great homecoming

with kings and priests and bums

At the banquet He prepares

I’ll raise my glass and cheer
