My Guide

I hear Your voice behind me saying

This is the right way

I won’t step to the left nor to the right

For Your plan for me is easy

You watch over me all day

And your load on me is comfortable and light

Where you guide me, You provide my needs

You even make me wise

With Your instructions come Your wisdom and Your strength

You’re my Shepherd, my Protector

In You this lamb contented lies

And You guide my days’ entire breadth and length

You give me the want to serve

You equip me with the skill

And right conditions in their place You ready set

You point me to others in Your Plan

Who’ll help me do Your will

And You say which side that we should cast the net

You’re my Guide, my great Instructor

I will ever yield to You

I’ll submit to the Shepherd’s staff and rod

I will follow where You lead

What You ask, that I will do

For You are the Way, my true Lord and my God

Psalm 32:8 'I will make you wise and show you where to go. I will guide you and watch over you.'

Isaiah 30:21 'If you go the wrong way - to the right or to the left you will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the right way...''
