Hebrews 12:1-3"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
I thought I was on the right boat
I was preparing my net for the catch
But before I knew it
I was snared
Entangled and thrown out the hatch
Entangled
Mangled
Trying to escape, to flee
But I got tangled
Strangled
Swallowed by the furious sea
I thought I was doing His work
I was training to win the next race
But before I knew it
I was hindered
Clipping hurdles and losing the pace
Hindered
Rescinded
Withdrew from the marathon
‘Cause I got hindered
Winded
Lost heart ‘cause my focus was wrong
Now the net is cast and the hurdles felled
As my witnesses crowd in the sky
And my Author of faith
Perfects my way
Leads me into green pastures to lie
Survival
Revival
No longer entangled with sin
‘Cause I found revival
No rival
As I set my focus on Him
