Cornelius is the grandfather of Edwin Maelstrom and former leader of the Northern Colonies. Still very active even though he's in his early 70s, Cornelius is a heavy drinker and is often stone drunk during battle. The alcohol does not seem to have much affect on blunting his swordfighting skill, though. Cornelius is an old joker and loves to hang around with goofy old Clement Hishari or Rem, Zeon, Shiro, and Incubus.
