In her youth, Draea was friends with Laura Esmerelda. When they both joined the army on the small island they grew up on, Laura reached the rank of general, and Draea was her lieutenant. A few years later, Laura left the island with the Silver Dragons. Suspicious of the Empress's actions following, Draea left the island to find Laura and ended up in Fort Luminienne, where she met back up with Laura, as well as joined Ripley's staff. Draea is a powerful Wind magic user and is strong with her weapon of choice, an old harvesting sickle. Draea is married to Tyler Altair and they have two daughters, Hope and Nebula.
