He saw me coming down the path

I'm 5 now and didn't get to know my daddy.
he was killed before I could know him well.
Grandma, grandpa, momma and my new daddy tell me all
time how he loved me and I was the apple in his eye.
I wish he could see me now i'm a big girl.
PrettyMoon asked me what I wanted on my baby page,
I want my daddy like the rest of the kids.

John Olmstead was killed in the line of duty on June 4, 1998.
Officer Olmstead was found on the side of the road dying from
a gun shot wound in his head. Officer Olmstead died in the arms
of State Patrolwomen Eyes before he could be taken to the hospital.
Officer Olmstead is missed badly from his family and all those who
loves him. He touched so many lifes as a Police Officer and as a friend.
This world is not the same with out our friend.

If there was ever a Hero in this world it would be John.
John was a great Police Officer, Father, and best friend.
John cared about the people and he put his life on the line so many times
to protect citizens of our town.
One day John and i responded to a call.. a hotel was on fire.
John seen a child in the window of one of the rooms and before i
could even get out of the car John was running into the building
to safe that child. He always told me i was HIS Hero, In reality
John Olmstead is and will always be my HERO.
John saved my life twice, With the help of Bri Anderson and Mark Ray
he tought me to walk again after a horrible car accedent,
that took two of my childrens lifes.
John made me go on with life, start singing again and writting music.
Our band has 4 cd's out but it's not the same with out his tender voice
backing me up. One day i will finnish the song i'm writting for him
then it will be placed here for our daughter.
John Olmstead you are my hero for all the things you have done.
John is my best friend and the father of our child.
I arrived on the sceen being told John has already passed away.
I took my partner into my arms so he would at least know i was there
with him at the end. I heard his sweet voice say to me
"Tiger, I lOVE YOU" then he passed away.
To this day they have not been able to prove who killed my partner.
One day that person is going to mess up and i will get the evidence
that prove they killed John and then they will pay for what they have done!
John Olmstead was my partner for 14 years on the Police Department.
Justice will be served!
