I was home schooled since kindergarten, which has good and bad points to it, as everything does. I didn't have to deal with peer pressure, or early morning hours. On the other hand, I didn't have a big social life, and I'm pretty shy. My mom isn't a certified teacher so all through kindergarten to eighth grade, my sisters and I had our yearly work reviewed by a teacher, who then decided whether or not our work met the standards for our grade levels. We ran into a problem later, though. The teacher couldn't give credits, so I had to be privately schooled under an "umbrella" school with teachers who were certified to give credits for high school students.
I'm still trying to learn Japanese in my free time, but I really suck at it, unfortunately. Oh well... one thing I can do is pronounce the words, and I can sing along with (and have memorized) several Japanese songs (mostly from animes). Now if I could just figure out what I'm saying.... hehe. I've been trying to work on learning French, but I'm sure I've butchered plenty of sentences which I supposedly translated to French. ^.^ Practice makes perfect though, right?
I graduated in May, on the 17th (2002) and now I'm in college! Ahh!! Anyway, it's the only way I'll accomplish my dream of becoming a psychologist.
