What is the use of the Loader utility?

The loader utility is used when you set the <downloadonly> tag to Y only, if you want to update your software instantly, you do not have to use the loader utility.

If for some reason you don’t want the Web Update Engine to apply updates instantly after they are downloaded, then you need to use the Loader utility. When the <downloadonly> tag is set to Y, the updated files are downloaded into a special cache folder with an instruction file that the Loader utility will use to update your program files before loading your application.
