The years of isolation from all he has ever known has embittered Rosiel and twisted his simple desire to return home into a quest for vengeance against those who barred him from his home realm. He has found himself at the Resort seeking to build strength as well as find a doorway back into the Koukalatrios' realm. FANTASY: To become the most powerful of his kind in order to return home and finally finish what he set out to accomplish over 4 millenia ago, or, secretly, to find contentment in this realm that was meant to be his prison as the ultimate act of spite. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Rosiel's true form is that of a coherent mass of energy. In this form he is invulnerable to all but psionic attacks, but is only able to use psionic attacks in return. He is able to shapeshift into any plant or animal form that he has spent enough time around to attune to its lifeforce. (Ex. can take the semblance of a dog he cared for, but could not become a cobra without spending considerable time with snake-charmers.) Taking the form of other sentient life-forms requires sexual contact. He most often uses the form of a Gaelic mystic that he bonded with in pure ethereal form. He is able to accomplish partial transformations, but only if the part is non-animal. (Ex. cannot mimic a centaur by turning human legs into equine, but could turn one arm into a tree branch.) Taking the form of supernatural creatures does not impart those skills or weaknesses to Rosiel. (Ex. taking the form of a vampire would still allow him to move about by day, while the form of a harpy would not allow him to fly, although he could learn if enough time were spent in the form.) Shape changes are not instantaneous, but can take between a few seconds to several minutes depending on the amount of change required to connect the forms. (Changing from male to female will go relatively quickly while a change from a small dog to a giant redwood could be agonizingly slow.) For all intents and purposes, he cannot be killed. He can be wounded while in a corporeal form, however. He possesses accelerated healing, but cannot return to his incorporeal state until he is fully healed. He is able to shift into another form while wounded, but the wounds will anthropomorphize into the new form. (Ex. If, while in the semblance of a human, his arm is broken, and he shifts into a tree to escape capture, a section of the tree's branches will be whithered and gnarled.) Because of his true nature as energy, he is adept at "chi"- or "ki"-based marital arts such as Aikido and Aikijutsu. He prefers to avoid confrontation when possible, but will fight if necessary, preferring to remain unarmed regardless of the armament of his opponent. Has become reasonably adept at elemental- and psionic-based magics while in sentient form, although excessive use of these magics tire him quickly and will begin to cause him physical damage if he continues past the point of exhaustion. |
