Titus was born in a small village on the outskirts of Rome and lived
there for
many years until during a bandit raid both his parents were killed.
He was then
in his early teens and finding no love for the farmers life Titus set
out for
Rome and joined the legions.
He spent many years as a Roman legionary, marching from one end of the
empire
to the other. After spending many years in the service of the emperor
he was
given command of Legion XIV and was instrumental in winning a major
battle in
the land of the Gauls.
Finally sick of the endless marching and severity of military life he
leaves
the army and returns to civilian life with enough money to set himself
up as a
minor merchant.
Over the next 3 years he rapidly grows from a minor merchant to become
one of
the empires richest and most influential merchants. At times his holdings
even
rival those of the emperor in Rome. Now that his fortune has been made
and his
place in life secured Titus no longer spends most of his time with
his
business, preferring to leave the more mundane tasks to his various
servants
and employees. Instead he now spends his time searching for and enjoying
new
distractions and new entertainments no matter
what they may be.
