(Sickos...) The War Prince Homura is a somewhat sketchy character unless you know majority of what's going on in the second season of Saiyuki. After the horrible inncident in the Heavens involving Konzen Douji, Tenpou Gensui, and Kenren Taishou and Goku being imprisoned with his memories taken from him, Homura became the Prince of War. All because the spot was left vacant by Nataku. What basically caused this was Homura fell in love with a Goddess named Rinrei. It was forbidden for them to love each other all because Homura was a heretic. He was born of a Human and an Immortal. His mom was a Goddess and his father was a Human. The Jade Emperor decided to punish Rinrei for falling in love with Homura. He punished her by reincarnation. Homura tried to stop the Jade Emperor, but at the same time the Emperor gave the vacant spot of War Prince to Homura. In some sense, Homura blamed himself for what happened to Rinrei. He loved her dearly. He often thought to himself that he couldn't hear her cries. But the real question is, would he be able to bare hearing those cries from the woman he loved. Homura decended from the Heavens along with Shien and Zenon. His plans... To destroy the Heavens, the pampered palace full of incompetent idiots. He found the reincarnations of Konzen, Kenren, and Tenpou (Sanzo, Gojyo, and Hakkai in that order) and demanded Sanzo's Maten Scripture. Sanzo refused more than once to give the War Prince the Scripture. This sparks many, many fights between Homura and Goku. In most of the fights, Homura would win and seriously injuring Goku. However, Homura succeeded in getting the Seiten Scripture from Gyokumen Koushu. Homura has said many times that he was doing what he was doing partically for Goku. In their first meeting, Homura has stated that in some ways He and Goku are brothers. This was mostly because of them being heretics. Goku, Nataku, and Homura have more in common than people thought. They were heretics, shuned away in the Heavens for it. Most didn't like them for them being heretics. They only way people knew they were heretics were their golden eyes. Homura is a very skilled fighter. His sword is a flame sword that can also use a dragon like fiend. He can also push away a pack of demons just by punching the air, sending the demons flying. He can also punch fire. His only restrictions are the shackles on his wrists. Once those are removed, you better look out. But basically, Homura can kick serious ass either way. |
