MINDLESS REBELLION emerged from Honolulu, Hawaii in the early spring of 2002. As close friends, and veterans of the local punk scene, Mindless Rebellion formed as a hybrid from several of the scene's finest punk bands, such as The Erratics, Ammunitionation, The Reviled, etc. After these groups had met their untimely demise, Mindless Rebellion came together as a powerhouse supergroup ready to battle the world in a nuclear armeggedon. The original lineup featured Zaq Trash on vocals, Sean Sicfuk on bass, Scotty Ammo on lead guitar, Spanky on rythm guitar and Demon Ian on drums. Mindless Rebellion played a couple shows with this lineup, focusing more on getting drunk at shows than playing their instruments. Joe Bondo returned to Hawaii and quickly became the new vocalist while Zaq decided to pursue another call in life. After a few months, Spanky left the band to pursue an education. Shortly after, Spanky came back to the rebellion, only to leave again after setting his priorities on his schooling. In October 2002, Mindless Rebellion finished recording their first demo, DOLE STREET DISORDER EP, which was later praised by Maximum Rock and Roll Magazine as " . . . tough as hell."
Mindless Rebellion began the move from Hawaii to Portland, Oregon on April 1, 2003, and began performing together again in July, 2003. Since their relocation to rebuild the band, as well as their lives, they had played shows with punk greats such as Defiance, UK Subs, Toxic Narcotic, The Virus, A Global Threat, DOA and more. Mindless Rebellion had planned on releasing a full-length album. However, after a lackluster attempt to record, they lost touch with a common vision for the band, and lost touch with each other. As it stands now, Mindless Rebellion has been put to rest.
