After 10 years of full-time practice as a physician in his father's clinic, Yoland Lim came to Australia to practise herbal medicine and acupuncture, He continued to study both Eastern and Western medical science, where he has established a practice which treats many thousands of people each year from all over the world. At the same time he has supervised the development of a range of products in his laboratory and production plant in Boronia Victoria. The most notable product sold is the weight reduction programme known as "Slimax" which was discovered and developed personally by Yoland Lim.

Since introducing Chinese medicine, acupuncture and acupressure in Australia in 1972, Yoland Lim has captured national and international headlines and the imagination of many of Australians, as well as gaining ever-increasing respect from traditional Western authorities.

He has published papers in scientific and medical journals on a range of subjects including immunology, microsurgery and alternative medicine. He has also lectured and presented papers to Australian and International medical conferences.
