Yoland Lim was born into the famous Lim family of Chinese physicians to carry on a tradition of Eastern healing which has lasted uninterrupted for five generations.

As a boy he helped his father gather vital herbs from the jungle; as a youth, he learned his family s health secrets from his father in his free clinic in the Poaggol Jungle in Singapore, which was also their home.
