Illinois State Route 13 runs est-west across Illinois. Starting at Illinois State Routes 157/163 in Centreville and running to the Indiana/Illinois State Line at Old Shawneetown, via Belleville, Freeburg, Tilton, Pinckneyville, Carbondale, and Harrisburg. IL St Rt 13 is one of the main links between the St. Louis Metro Area and the Marion-Carbondale Area. The majority is two-lane surface.
