Five hedgehogs have been deliberately run over and killed in yet another act of vandalism in Highworth.

The dead animals were found on a path near the Highworth Community Golf Course on Saturday morning, and police believe that local youths are responsible.

Sergeant Chris Chivers, of Highworth Police station, said: “We were informed of the incident on Monday, and investigations are underway.
|
“Local youths often meet down there, and they sometimes have a car or motorbike with them.
|
“It is very possible that they deliberately squashed and killed the hedgehogs on Friday night.”
