The Bishop Louis Henry Ford Freeway is the only freeway in the State of Illinois. This runs from the south-end of the Dan Ryan Expressway at 95th Street to the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate 80/294)/Kingery Expressway (Interstate 80/94).

Portions of this highway from 159th Street to the Tri-State Tollway/Kingery Expressway are one of the first expressways in Chicago. The orignial name was of this highway was the Calumet Expressway.

This freeways carries the Interstate 94 designation for the entire length.

The Ford Freeway passes through the following towns in Illinois.
Chicago
Dolton
South Holland

The Ford Freeway is controlled by the Illinois Department of Tranportation.
