Saturday

In the morning, Phil called Cheryl about going to the Star Trek Experience with him and Dharma. I got dressed, and they planned to go. Plans were messed up, however, so Dharma and Phil just went to the ST Experience, and Cheryl and I went to Nancy's room. We met LKK and Rachel in there, and we decided to have lunch. We went to Cheryl's FAVORITE place...Il Fornaio in NYNY. We had this cute old French waiter...who Nancy hated! Cheryl and I liked him until he wouldn't take our credit cards. I still had my man-voice, and Rachel was getting a sore throat too, so we both had tea with honey, and Cheryl and Nancy got iced tea. We all ate our food, which was great, and then left.

Nancy, LKK, and Rachel all went to their respective rooms, and Cheryl and I went to pick up pictures that I had dropped off at a one-hour photo place. We oohed and ahhed over all of our cute shots, and fawned over the cast pics. The one with Ryan (Dawn's husband, my boyfriend) was great. The one with Cheryl, Colin, and me was just SO sweet! The one of me and Brad was a cute picture also:) All the other cast photos were just great.

By the time we got back to our room, we had just enough time to change and have Phil pick us up. We were meeting Michelle and Dawn at the Rio, because we had tickets to ride in a float in the Mardi Gras parade. Nancy, Cheryl, LKK, Phil, Dharma and I met Dawn, Laura, Cathy, Michelle, and the other Laura there. All but Michelle and Dharma (who weren't riding the float) went upstairs to get into our costumes and get into our float. We had a dancer guy in our boat (the guy who threw the Mardi Gras beads), who was so funny and nice. He asked all about us, and we told him how we all met, and how we came for the show. He was impressed, and started talking about WL! He said that he liked the Best of episode, and especially liked the part "with the bald guy and the tall guy...they were in a fast food place, and it was so funny!" He actually mentioned the line "bobbing for fries", which we were all impressed by! Then he said how funny it was "when they kissed". We all agreed that the Maltese Burger was an excellent scene. :) We all got into our float, and the parade started. We all had tambourines, and played them while smiling and waving at the audience. We had our guy throw beads to Michelle, Dharma, and Cathy up on the balcony. It was SO much fun! We danced, talked, had a great time! We pointed at people who we thought deserved beads. :)

After that, it was getting close to 6pm (when the first PPV show was scheduled for). LKK and I had Phil drop us off at the MGM, while Michelle and Dawn (who also had tickets to the show) went to their room to get dressed. Our seats turned out to be together again, and we were right in front of Katie and Leigh and Kelly. It was so cool to have people we knew all around us for all of the shows! The show, as you all know, was hilarious! Luckily, Chip was feeling better that day, and was in the show (as you could see). Drew had to come out before they started taping and tell the audience not to make crude suggestions, because he had promised Doritos that it would be a PG-13 show. That sort of went out the window during the show, although that's the reason that both Julie and Greg wouldn't read what was on the piece of paper during Sentences.

When the first show ended, LKK and I sat out by the slots and talked. Phil came over (looking great in his tux), and told us that Shaunna was on line for tickets. We went and said hi to her, and then went back inside the theater. We sat at our table, and waited for Nancy and Cheryl to come. Everyone started coming in...ALL the Whosers were here for this show! It was so cool...we had a whole group of people who knew each other, and we would randomly say, "Oh there's so-and-so" and wave, or say, "Oh, this person and that person got seats together!" It was really cool. Like a whole little network of Whosers. :) The second show was also great, although they didn't have enough time for Mouse Trap, which I was upset about. Oh well. :)

After the show, we hung out outside the theater again, talking in little groups. Greg came out, but he was visibly dead tired, and didn't talk much. Cheryl did manage a pic, though! :) I'm sorry you never got to say your snappy comeback, though. :) Laura Hall came out, and talked to Michelle, Dawn, LKK and me for a while. She's just SO great. What a wonderful person. We talked about the PPV shows, the shows they did in the past years, being pregnant for the past shows, bringing kids to Vegas, how crowded the place was because of the Superbowl and Chinese New Year. She's really cool. Chip came out, and got mobbed, as did Brad. I really wanted to meet Chip, so I waited for him to be free, and then introduced myself. I again apologized for my voice (which was as horrible as ever!). LKK chimed in, "She has man-voice!" Chip laughed, and said, "I wish I did!". He was SO nice, friendly, and talkative. I gave him my picture thing to sign, which he did, and wrote "Love the voice!". I love it! He absolutely amazed me with how great he was with all the fans. He saw my camera, and said, "Did you want a picture? Here, have her take it!" and gave the camera to Louise. How awesome is he? I got a pic with him. Meanwhile, the whole time, Nancy is videotaping. Chip turns toward the video camera, keeping the pose with me, as if it was a regular camera. Nancy commented that it was a video camera, and he should move around, which he proceeded to do. So funny.

I then saw Colin come out, and waited for him to be free. He saw me and said, "Hi! Back again?" I said yes, and asked if he could do me a favor and sign another autograph for me. He signed my picture thing ("Melanie - Read a book! Colin Mochrie"). I thanked him for being so sweet, then gave him a big hug! And he's a great hugger, might I add! :) Such a sweetheart. Nancy got the hug on camera, so I'm very happy about that! :) I thanked Colin again, and left him alone. I saw Brad standing nearby, so I decided to get my pic with him signed. I borrowed Dawn's Sharpie, and asked Brad to sign my photo of me and him. He said something about me having pics already, and I said that one-hour photo works wonders, or something to that effect. He signed it, and I told him what a great job he did on the show. He thanked me, and I left. I noticed Ryan walking by, but he seemed to be in a hurry and didn't seem to want to stop and talk to fans, so I didn't bother going up to him or pointing him out. I then saw Drew standing with a bunch of people, and decided to talk to him. On the way, though, I saw Colin again, so I decided to go ahead and ask him to sign the pic of me, him and Cheryl. I went up to him, and said, "Can I be more of a pain in the ass and have you sign this?" He said sure, and smiled. He signed it, and I thanked him yet AGAIN. Phil came over and asked Colin if he could get a pic with him and me. I wasn't going to refuse!! So I got another pic w/ Colin.

I then went over to Drew, who was taking pics with a few people. He was facing away from me, and about to walk away, but I grabbed his arm. He turned around and said hi. I asked if he could sign my pic from the night before of me, him, Michelle, and Dawn. He signed it, and as he did, Dharma came up and said she wanted a pic of the two of us (me and Drew). He held up the pic he had just signed, as a "certificate of authenticity". When Dharma took the pic, he said, "Bring that one back for me to sign, too!" We both laughed, then I walked back over to where the group was talking to Chip. Nancy was taping, and Chip was entertaining for the camera. Cheryl asked Chip for a pic, and he said sure. She wanted him to hold it out in front of them, but I said I would take it. He said, "How long do you think my arms are? What am I, an orangutan?" They got a pic together. Then I took the video camera from Nancy, so I could tape her hugging Chip. I got that on tape, then they all had a group photo with him (which I also got on tape). He was just so great and funny...I cannot say enought about Chip!! Great guy. He left the area, and by that time, all the other guys were gone. I decided to get out the photos that I had gotten signed. Brad and Drew had only signed their names, I remembered...but then I remembered seeing that Colin had signed a message along with his name. I wanted to see what he wrote, so I took out the pic. I looked at it, and saw that he had written, "Melanie - I love you. Colin Mochrie". I just about died right there!! I absolutely love the man.

Michelle and Dawn were going to a party, so we had to say goodbye to Dawn, who was leaving very early the next morning to go home. So sad. We all gave our hugs and our goodbyes, and they left. The rest of us (Phil, Dharma, Cheryl, Nancy, LKK, and I) went back to LKK's room...we ordered room service and watched some more videos, including some on the cut tape. I finally saw Old Elvis, Home Shopping w/ old asparagus, the nightmare hoedown, Press conference where Colin's having Clive's lovechild, and, the crowning glory, the Colin Hoedown!! Which was just SO great and cute! I love the hug that Colin gives Ryan at the end. Anyway, a little while later, Phil, Cheryl and I decided to go back to our rooms and go to bed. With happy visions of the guys in my head, I fell asleep. :)
