March 14th - Josh Freese leaves GN'R -
After nearly two years to tour with Perfect Circle.

March 15th - Bucketheads involvement with GN'R breaks -
It is reported that he has been spending time working on material with Axl and that he is involved in the recording process for the upcoming Guns N' Roses album.
Article "Axl Rose The Lost Years" appears in Rolling Stone -
A six page article which can only be described as a page filler full of rumour/speculation about Axl's life, after Axl pulls out of giving them an interview....(Axl turns this around on Rolling Stone by using this article as the inspiration behind 'Its a kinda Wonderful Life"..A cartoon trailer used at some future GN'R show's).
April 28th - Confirmation producer Roy Thomas Baker is in the studio with GN'R -
A spokesperson for Guns N' Roses confirms that noted producer Roy Thomas Baker is currently in the studio with Axl.
Baker has only just met the singer, the spokesperson cautioned, and at this stage, he is only supplying additional production which may or may not make it onto the next GN'R album.
May 10th - Brian May mentions his work with GN'R at UK's Radio one -
During presenter, Mary Anne Hobbs rock show.
"I went over there and I think I played on three tracks and messed around on various other things. But it worked out pretty well, as far as I can tell."
" He did like it but he wanted to get into every single take of every single note and, you know, from one day to another Axl would've been in there like from 5 o'clock in the morning 'till 7 o'clock in the morning comping little bits of my solos and saying, 'can you get Brian to try this'. You know, he's utterly meticulous."
"I'll tell you, Axl is a very persuasive guy. He's magic really, he is, you know, and I think he's not always easy, as genius very often isn't, you know, Fred was not the easiest person in the world to get on with, but someone who has that amount of passion and gives a million percent of themselves, you'll take any amount of stuff from, and I would from Axl, I think he's that good". June 22nd - Axl joins Gilby Clark on stage -
At the Cat Club on Sunset Boulevard West Hollywood after attending a concert by Roger Waters. Axl and Clark shared a mic for duets of two Rolling Stones songs, "Wild Horses" and "Dead Flowers." infront of a 250 audience members. An audience member at the show commented on Axl being "really nice" and he "looked great.
October - Les Claypool mentions Brain Mantia is now in GN'R -

October 25th - Rock in Rio head confirms GN'R are on the bill -
Roberto Medina, told Brazil's Globo television network that GN'R frontman Axl Rose has agreed to play the massive South America event Rock in Rio 3 in January . A source close to the production confirmed the band's appearance is written in stone -- or at least as close as possible.
Backing up Axl, are the previously announced new members -- bassist Tommy Stinson, guitarist Paul Tobias (formerly known as Paul Huge), keyboardist Dizzy Reed and guitarist Buckethead, as well as the band's latest addition, former Primus drummer Brain, who has replaced Josh Freese.
The source added that guitarist Robin Finck, who previously left the group to rejoin Nine Inch Nails, is also on board for the show.
October 27th - GN'R make Buckethead, Fink and Bob Ezrin Official -
In a press release Big FD mention the two guitarists, and also stated that Bob Ezrin, best known for producing Pink Floyd's The Wall , has signed on as A&R man for the project.
Nov 8 th- Axl turns up at System Of A Down benefit gig -
To raise money for Armenian Genocide recognition.The show drew a capacity 1300 fans whose $20 door charge was donated to
the cause.
Dec 6th - Tickets for GN'R show at HOB in Las Vegas go on sale today -
Making it the first GN'R show in 0ver 7 yrs, and first show as the new era band. Doug Goldestine stated about the surprise shows "We've been rehearsing and recording - we just wanted to blow some smoke," .
