Feb 8th - Chris Weber attempst to sue Axl over two songs he claimed he co- wrote.-
Weber from Axl's old band Hollywood Rose, claimed that Weber co-wrote two songs he's not credited for, including 'Shadow of Your Love" and "Back Off Bitch." One of the songs, says Goldstein, was written before Rose and Weber even knew each other. A spokesperson for Geffen dismissed it as a nuisance suite. "Whenever a band sells millions of records," Geffen's Bryn Bridenthal told MTV News, "you can count on frivolous publishing lawsuits following rite behind."

Feb 13th - Axl Is Detained at Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport -
Arrested on charges of cursing out a security officer who wanted to inspect his bag, containing a glass art piece he was concerned would get broken by rough handling.Axl's publicist Bryn Bridenthal said. It isn't like he assaulted anyone. In our world, it's kind of a non-incident."

February 20th - Doug Goldstine tells Rolling Stone Axl is ensconced in a Los Angeles studio. -
Writing and jamming with keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist and longtime Rose collaborator Paul Huge, and ex-Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck, who has become a full-time member of the band.They have recorded more than 300 hours' worth of material, and "they each take a CD home, listen for cool parts, pick them out, and that's how they build songs."Four producers are being considered for the project -- which Goldstein describes as an "updated nineties-rock sound with a little more technology thrown in".

March 6th - Josh Freese said to be joining Axl in studio.-
Sources close to Freese confirm that he's been joining Axl Rose in the studio late at night while continuing to do his regular sessions in the daytime. When asked if Freese was the new G n' R drummer, a spokesperson for Geffen, quoting the band's management, told MTV News, "There's nothing we can confirm at this time, hopefully soon, but not now.

July 10th - Axl reported to have scheduled studio time in early August to begin recording -
With the revamped version of Guns 'N' Roses.The band lineup consists of former Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck, former Replacement bassist Tommy Stinson, and current Vandals drummer Josh Freese.

Nov 14th -GN'R is scheduled to enter studio again with "a new producer" -
This weekend reports publicist Bryn Bridenthal to Rolling Stone, tho refused to be drawn on the rumours it was Sean Bevan.To date Axl is reported to have tried /talked with, Killing Joke bassist and Verve producer Youth, Moby, and long-time G n' R collaborator Mike Clink, who sat in on rehearsals for a few months before ducking out of the project.
"Axl is trying to define his direction and trying out a lot of different collaborators," Clink says of the delay and direction of the forthcoming Guns album. "I've heard some of the material Axl has written and it's phenomenal, but he's a perfectionist and he needs everything to be just perfect. He needs the music to move him."
