'Standing on a Corner Park' was created by Eagles fans, for Eagles fans. The developer's wanted a way to imortalize the words from the song 'Take it Easy', from the Eagles 1972 self-titled debut release, in a way that would always be a reminder of the IMPACT the Eagles made on the world of Rock n' Roll, and this sleepy lil' town in northeast Arizona.
Several years ago, a site was chosen, and commemorative BRICKS were sold via on-line Eagles fan message boards. The money generated by BRICK SALES, and oher corporate investments and donations from Winslow's private and public sectors were used to develop the Park. A beautiful mural (the girl in "the flatbed Ford"), a statue, signs, landscaping, along with inlaid BRICKS from fans from across the country now make this little Park a 'must-see' for the most passionate of Eagles Fans. The Park was formally opened in September 1999. Even more improvements are planned, and BRICKS can still be purchased! For more info on 'Standing on the Corner Park', send 'Angel' an e-mail via the link below, or surf to her Eagles Tribute Site..."One of these Nights". Truely...."a mighty fine site to see"! We hope to attend an Aniversary Celebration in the future, too!............~~STAY TUNED~~
