A Short History Lesson ~~
Spewed
from the loins of the Gods of Rock,
Sweet Jayne emerged from
the ashes of Shakey Ground in the summer of 2002. Playing
a great mix of popular and original music, Sweet Jayne
has already taken Vermont's Northeast Kingdom by storm.

Wendell
Hughes (Guitar/Vocals)-Our fearless guitar player. Originally
from Canaan VT Wendell has been playing guitar and performing
in clubs for over a decade. He is equally adept at rhythm and
lead, so much so that you don't even notice he's the only twanger
on the stage. With influnces ranging from Melissa Etheridge to
Eddie Van Halen and known to sport a mullet you never can be totally
sure what will come out of his guitar next. |
|
Amie
Koontz (Vocals)-Originally from Indiana, Amie is classically
trained with an ear for harmonies that's nothing less than magical
and a nearly FOUR octave range. Equally at home belting out Pat
Benatar, pouting a Gwen Stefani, screaming like Axel Rose or wooing
you with a sweetness akin to Sarah McLaughlin ~ Amie guarantees
to captify. |
|
Jonathan
Betts (Drums)-HEEERRRREEE'S Johnny! With his rock star attitude
and precise heavy groove, Jon is IN CHARGE. Whether leveling great
mounds of earth with a bulldozer or pounding out tasty grooves
on the drums, Jon's a force to be reckoned with. |
|
Frank
Bethell (Bass/Vocals)-The big guy in the corner: That's Frank.
He's been playing bass for over a decade, he also hasn't changed
his socks in just about as long. Born and raised in the military,
he can call places such as Hawaii, Iowa, Vermont and Japan as
home. He's the closest thing to an International Pornstar we have
in the band. |
