I didn't know what to expect going to this gig having heard just 3 Darkness songs, but I was aware of
their growing reputation as a good live band. They didn't disappoint, putting on an entertaining show.
Crunching AC/DC rifforama & rock star stage presence from singer Justin Hawkins. He also gives it
the guitar hero bit, playing behind his head & onto the shoulders of a roadi for a walk about…
Singles 'get your hands off my woman' & 'I believe in a thing called love' work the crowd into a frenzy
and b-side 'the best of me' go down well. Most of all it's the enthusiasm & enjoyment from the band
that makes this a great gig. Yes it was corny & cheesy, but superbly done, fantastik…! Support band
Ten Benson also put on a good show, impossible to describe - but a bought 2 of their CDs, hiss &
satan kidney pie… some wonderfully catchy tunes played in a weird style…
