Following Lithelimb was tough, but this Ent (As yet unnamed) Is created sort of as an homage to a fairy tale called "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" or sometimes "The Shoes That Were Danced to Pieces" This piece used wirem okastic beads and various shades of varnish in addition to the polymer clay.
The silver ent received a "mod's choice" honor on Elfwood.

A completely workable rod puppet. This is the Lady Isabella. Her head and hands are polymer clay, painted with acrylic paints, and her body is plush around a dowel rod core. Her costume is completely hand-sewn and decorated by me, her collar embroidered in gold thread, and her dress trimmed with gold paint.

This picture shows Lady Isabella with her counterpart, Sir Rodney. He is built using the same construction as Lady Isabella (Though rather less well) With the exception that his wig is actually locks of my own hair, dyed blonde.

A gift I made for my brother's graduation, however, (as seems to be the way with these things) the creature took so long to make that I didn't give it to him until November. Each scale is individually made and I'm rather fond of this fellows horns. I wish I could get a photo of a closeup of his controller. It's a Playstation II type controller and the buttons are to scale. I computer "drew" the wire, because the original clay wire was broken in the baking process. The "TV" is a plastic box convenient to the photo. (Video-gaming is my brother's favorite pasttime, and I tried to make this dragon fit him.) Still one of my largest pieces. (7/2008)

I am delighted with this piece. This little white dragon took HOURS to make, but he was worth it. I think he's one of the best pieces I have ever done.
