He told her of his past and how he had lost his
wife and and she listened silently as she
remembered her own past. He told her how he
would bring the captain of the Maritine to his
death and she wished she could see the man die
herself for the deeds done to her family and
to her land. Artimus looked to her and
sighed as he spoke ..."Death isn't easy to watch, but
if you like you can see it." she looked up
to his eyes and sighed as the tears stoped and she
whispered softly..."No ..I never want to see him
again just to know he is dead will be enough.
He smiled and looked out to sea and silently
whispered knowing how she felt ..."then you
won't see it, I'll make sure of it" he then
hugged her slightly and spoke.."if this island is
where he hides, then we have just saved many lives
at least it's something..." and his voice
trailed off as they looked out to sea. She
turn away after his hug and grabed the rail as she
looked out to the setting sun and the darkening
sky. She felt so alone and his hug had made
her feel so afraid and she wondered
why. |

He looked to her concerned and whispered
softly.."Are you going to be alright? She looked
to him and she shivered and then looked silently
out to sea as she nodded and looked down
into the waters whispering back softly..."Yes."
and turned to him and looked to his face
silently. He looked to her in return, his
red braids falling around his eyes and she looked
into his eyes and reached slowly and touched his
face lightly and whispered .."I... thanks ...."
she lowered her hand and turned to the sea
nervously for this man was begining to kindle
some small flame inside her soul and fear over
took her. He stood next to her looking out to
the sea and began talking silently..."the ocean is
a place of true balance you know" she
watched as the sun set on the horizon and the
darkness in the sky deepen and whispered
.."why is that? as she sighed slowly. He
continued looking out to sea and smiled ..."it has
many faces, calm, angry, even soothing, but its
greatest asset is it's sense of mystery" she
sighed and smiled as she nodded in agreement
and whispered almost inaudiable..."the sea is
a mysterious lady at that .....thats what my
father used to say " she smiled at the distant
pleasant memory.
His words continued to sooth her soul as she
listened....what lies below, what wonders have
kept themselves hidden from us" and as he
spoke he looked to the reflection of the stars of
the water ..."I only truly feel at peace here on
the open ocean, no politics or trechery just the
natural order of things makes you think doesn't
it?" she watched the sea as the glitter of
starlight is seen on its calm surface and
whispered softly ..."Yes..why would I want to come
back to Rhydin.." the thought came to her lips and
he looked to her and smiled as he
answered it .."maybe you'll chooose not to, who
knows. She looked to him and sighed
.."maybe" He looked out to sea and spoke softly
..."life already has our destination in mind
but we must choose the path we take...." She
turned and looked into his eyes and said .."I
know dont tell me ....follow your heart ....some
one told me once.....Suurprised he looked to
her .."who was that? and she looked away and said
simply..."a friend.." He looked out to sea
nd smiled as he whispered..."I hope you chose to
listen... it can be a good asset" She sighed
and shook her head slowly as she said..." Perhaps
but Its a dangerous thing to do if you ask
me ...the heart is not always right....and it
tends to be broken in the long run...." she then
turned and looked to the sea silently. They
stood side by side looking out to sea as their
journey on the high seas began..on a warm summers
day...where they would go and what
would be in their fate was ahead and each of them
felt the pain of the past as they set out to
sea...... |

Artimus stood at the wheel, looking out to sea as
she came up on deck and she glanced around the ship and
sighed as she watched them move about the ship. She then turned and
looked up to the wheel where he stood but quickly looked away
before he saw her spyng on him. Her feelings for him
something she had wondered about during the quiet night as she sattempted
to sleep. As she looked
out to the silent waters he handed the wheel to another and walked down to
where she stood..Top of the morning! he said his voice
cheerful and full of energy for he was where he loved to
be...the open seas. She looked out to sea and smiled as she saw the
waters moving along then she
turned as he walked up to her and smiled slightly "Moring ..did you sleep
well? she answered softly.
He nodded and smiled as he answered ... "Very, yourself? She looked
to him silently and nodded
... Very well the bed is very nice I could have stayed in it all day
...::she laughed slightly unaccoustom to laughing at all. She then turned back to
look out over the waters once again. He looked to
her and smiled as he spoke about the progress they were making..."Glad you
liked it, We should be arriving soon." he said as he
turned to look out over the waters. She looked to him
confused... "Really..already.? then she turned and looked out to
sea as if trying to see her home upon the
waters whispering under her breath.."seems like we just left...as she
looked out into the sea she
sighed as conflicting emotions ran through her body.
He turned to her as he smiled and said that the
island could not be more than a week out to sea then he
turned looking to the First Mate. "At Least I don't think so" he
said as he watched his crew at
work. She looked to him and smiled as she spoke ..." Then we should be
seeing them soon as she looked to the First mate and to the woman
with him. She watched the woman beside the man and
smiled slightly as Atimus continued talking...a few more days probably,
but who knows...and he nodded
to his First Mate. She looked to them him smiled as she watched them
silently and as she stood there wondering what to say Artimus
called to her "Misty meet Jack first mate of the Moonwhisper Song and this is Marion".. she smiled to the
man and woman as she watched the woman
slip her hand into the one called Jack and heard Jack as he said Hello.
She nodded and gave a
slight smile to him as she returned the greeting...My pleasure..and
watched as he held the womans
hand in his. She then looked to the woman and smiled .. Hello.
She looked to the woman as she
leaned against Jack for support for it seemed the movement of the ship was
making her feel dizzy for some reason and she very softly her
voice a whisper among the breeze...said Greetings. The man held her to his side lovingly and she
looked to them and sighed.
Suddenly the woman's face went white and she took
a step toward her..Are you all right Miss..she whispered
softly looking to her thinking the motion of the ship was making her ill.
The woman chuckles as she was raised on a ship and the
motion of the ship was not what bothered her and she whispered...I shall be..Thank you for asking I was raised
on a ship... she said as she leaned against
Jack. It was then that the man called Jack that stood next to her informed
her that she was fine she's just pregnant. She nodded
and looked back out to sea and realizing what he had said she
turned back and laughed ... oh.! sorry I thought it might be the
boat. Jack in the meantime stared
out to sea as she herself looks to Artimus hoping he would get upset at
her calling his ship a
boat yet he seemed occupied and didn't seem to notice what she had said.
She walked to the railing
as she listened to Jack and Artimus speak. Artimus tell me of this mission
..Said Jack as she turned to the woman whose name now she knew as
Marion and smiled as she asked....any time soon referring to the child. She could see that the
woman was not sowing her state as yet and sighed as
the woman answered that she had some time to go yet before her child was
born. She ten turned and looked out to sea wondering if she
would ever bare a child and find happiness in this
lifetime. |
