Stability might not be her strong point. Not to mention her ongoing feud with Fiona - a rivalry that looks like it can only end in the death of one of the involved parties. And she has a few self-esteem issues, despite the spikard she wears.Just when things were looking up for Sand - she was actually speaking to both her sons, and her Hellmares were prospering - it all slid back into instability. Random was forced by recent events to order her to exterminate her brother - and she did, eventually calling down the Wild Hunt on him.
No one knows what her mental state will be when she returns from Shadow.
