Psyche Profile -
Born to loving parents, Eric was accepted even though he wasn't able to speak. His parents loved him dearly and would never think anything of his ability not to speak. After he was born and his parents made the astounishing discovery, they took him to a doctor who told them that Eric's vocal cords had not completely formed yet and that there was no telling how long it would take. Both his parents took this news with great dispair but as time passed they learned to accept their son for who he truly was. Though the two of them knew that their son was gifted, they loved him as if he was normal. At a very young age, Eric was able to speak with his mind. He seemed to have telepathic abilities that allowed him to talk to others with a mere thought. As Eric got older, he used this to his advantage. Rather than allow everyone to think that he was unable to speak, he spoke to them with his mind and made his mouth move. He projected this ability to all those around him so that no one would suspect anything about it. As time passed, Eric discovered that he had other abilities along the same lines. He discovered that by just thinking about moving something, he was able to do it. Just by mere concentration, Eric was able to move a vase from one end of the table to the other. He started to use his powers more and more everyday, learning to adapt them so that he would be able to do more than just speak to others in their minds and move things.
During highschool, Eric kept to himself mostly. He tried not to speak to many people and also had a note from his parents that he wasn't able to talk and that the teachers shouldn't call on him. Everyone labeled him an outcast and he liked it that way. Though he strived to make friends, he knew that it would damage him if he had to make the whole school hear him. Though the few friends he made could hear him, everyone else couldn't. Eric kept to his friends, making sure that they were the only ones who could hear him. He may have been the school outcast, he knew that he was much more than they thought.
After highschool, Eric took on a job at a local movie store. He worked at at his job and tried very much to become the Blockbuster Employee of the Month. He loved his job but his managers made it hard on him a lot of the time. The people were okay at times and they all seemed very nice until they found out that they had a late fee but Eric made sure that everyone in his line paid the late fee. Call it a little bit of persuation on his part. He was also able to sell just about anything. From the Rewards Program to 30 DVDs for 30 Days. His District Manager was amazed. No one else was able to sell 15 Rewards cards in one day, and that was a slow day. On an average Friday night, Eric had sold 49 Rewards cards. Everyone was shocked but he wasn't. He knew that he had been given a gift to use, and he fully intended on using that gift to its fullest potential.
