HAMMER BRO...50 HP/HAMMER BRO...50 HP

Your first Major Enemy fight begins with two hammer throwing maniacs. When you bash one brother with a timed jump attack and a timed regular attack, the remaining foe will use Valor Up which increases defense and magic defense by 50 percent. Just keep bashing the bro with jump attacks and you'll be fine.

CROCO...320 HP
Croco absolutely HATES fire, so singe him with fire orb whenever it's Mario's turn. Mallow should only be used for the occasional thunderbolt attack and to recover everyone's hit points and flower points. You'll win a big fat wallet and a rare frog coin for your effort on beating up Croco. 

MACK...480 HP/BODYGUARD...30 HP
Mack coughs up a lot of HP when pummeled by Magic Attacks, so maintain Mario and Mallow's FP at a decent level. Take out the 30 HP Bodyguards with a timed Thunderbolt special. Mack's Flame wall can take a toll on your HP, but luckily you can use HP rain and mushrooms to recooperate.

WORLD 2 POND TO PIPES

BELOME...500 HP
Make sure Mario is wearing the Trueform Pin, which he obtained from the Pandorite, and Mallow wearing the Wake-Up Pin before wrestling the four eyed beast. Belome will whimper if you smash him with thunder attacks, and Super Jump works great too. Just Make sure you keep Mario's HP at a decent level while Belome has Mallow inside his stomach.

BOWYER...720 HP
Bowyer really needs to go out of the forest more often, and you can tell by his nut case attitude. He can disable the X, Y and A buttons during the battle so be careful and watch your supplies and FP since you don't know which button Bowyer will lock next. Don't waste Mallow's Thunderbolt on Bowyer, instead use Mario's regular attacks and Geno's Geno Beam for a 60 HP hit.

WORLD 3 MOLE MOUNTAINS

CROCO...750 HP
When fighting Croco this time around, fire orb won't do much good, but if you are lucky enough to reach Level 10, Super Flame will really fire things up for him. When you get rid of about half his HP, he steals all your items, so be prepared to use Mallow's HP rain to recover from his Chomp attack. When throwing Croco off balance for the second time you'll get your coinage back that he stole from you before you went head to toe with him.

PUNCHINELLO...1200 HP/MICRO BOMB...30 HP/BOB-OMB...90 HP/MEZZO BOMB...150 HP
Don't waste any turns attacking the bombs, just concentrate all your attacks on Punchinello and Equip your party with Fearless Pins to protect against Punchinello's Sandstorm move. When Punchinello's HP drops to 0, a King bomb will fall on Punchy and kill the hell outta him.

BOOSTER...800 HP/SNIFIT...200 HP
You can skip this whole battle entirely if you don't get caught in the curtain game, but if you wish to battle with Booster use Geno Beam on the Snifits and Super Jump on Booster. Use Bowser to keep everyone healthy from Booster's HP inflicting Locomotive attack.

KNIFE GUY...700 HP/GRATE GUY...900 HP
Just when you think your out of Booster's Tower for good, Knife Guy and Grate guy show up at the rooftop. Knife Guy can't stand the fire, so vanquish him first. Then concentrate on regular attacks and Mallow's Shocker move on Grate Guy. Watch out for his sleep moves thou. The evil twins will leave behind a jar of flowers if you manage to crash their party.

BUNDT...900 HP/CANDLE...10 HP/RASPBERRY...600 HP
No one expects to do battle with a giant wedding cake, but hey anything can happen! Make sure your party is wearing Fearless pins for this fight, you'll need them if you don't want Bundt to scare half the offense and defense out of you. When all the candles are lit out, finish Bundt off with a Super Jump. The bottom part of the cake isn't defeat yet which cause itself Raspberry. Raspberry can easily be dealt with regular attacks and Mario's jump specials. If you manage to kill 600 of Raspberry's HP, Booster will eat him whole! BON APPETITE!

WORLD 4 SEASIDE

LEFT TENTACLES...260 HP/RIGHT TENTACLES...200 HP/KING CALAMARI..800 HP
Use Mario, Toadstool and Geno for this hard fight. You'll go into battle with two sets of three tentacles. The tentacles simple hate geno beam, so unleash it on the fish food every chance you get. Once the tentacles are done with, King Calamari appears with 800 hit points and two more tentacles. Wipe out the tentacles first, then Use Super Flame to hurt King Calamari really bad. During all this, make sure you use Toadstool often to keep your party on it's toes.

JOHNNY...820 HP/BANDANA BLUE...80 HP
The best way to kill Johnny in the sunken ship is to kill all but 1 of his henchmen and then use Toadstool's sleep magic on the remaning henchman.  Then focus on Johnny with singular type attacks.  Because you didn't kill all of his buddies, Johnny will still eventually "get tough" but he will let you fight him with your entire party!  This is useful because Toadstool can heal everybody.  If at any time while Johnny is "tough" that you kill his last henchman, you will have to fight with just Mario, though.

YARDIOVICH...1500 HP/YARDIOVICH CLONE...500 HP
It may seem that you'll want to use very tough characters against Yardi, but actually Princess and Mallow are your best bets. Princess keeps everyone alive after the deadly water blast, and Mallow's Shocker attack wreaks 100+ HP damage to Yardiovich. This isn't a too difficult of a fight, it just is very long. Just keep attacking and healing.

WORLD 5 LAND'S END

BELOME...1200 HP/MARIO CLONE...200 HP/MALLOW CLONE...150 HP/GENO CLONE...250 HP/BOWSER CLONE...300 HP/TOADSTOOL 2...120 HP
Belome's back and this time he learned how to clone your party members! Once again, go swinging with Mallow and Princess and remember to equip yourselves with wake up pins because Belome can make the whole party fall asleep at once. Don't worry about the Mallow and Princess clones, they are easy to kill, just do not use Jump or Fire on Mario Clone. To beat Belome, use Mallow's thundery spells.

JAGGER...600 HP
Jagger is simple, use regular attacks. but the real test comes when Jinx offers to do battle with you.

JINX (round 1...600 HP round 2...800 HP round 3...1000 HP)
Jinx is very difficult to battle if your party is not above level 18. Even still, one hit will only drain 40 of Jinx's hit points so be ready for three long rounds of combat. Jinx has a special defense for all magic attacks besides jump so be careful not to waste FP, which should mainly be used for Toadstool's group hugging.

CULEX...4096 HP/EARTH CRYSTAL...3200 HP/FIRE CRYSTAL...2500 HP/WATER CRYSTAL...1800 HP/WIND CRYSTAL...800 HP
This is the hardest battle in the game, so listen carefully! Use Mario, Mallow and Toadstool. Mario should be whacking Water Crystal with Super Flame and Wind Crystal with Super Jump. Mallow should be using shocker on Earth Crystal and Snowy on Fire Crystal. Toadstool's there to throw bombs and heal your party. Remember not to use Fire on Fire Crystal, Ice on Water Crystal, Jump on Earth Crystal, and Thunder on Wind Crystal. Once the Crystal's are destroyed, it's time to fight Culex. Don't worry, without his henchmen he can easily be defeated. 

MEGASMILAX...1000 HP/SMILAX...200 HP
Make sure you equip Toadstool with the Trueform Pin because Megasmilax's Evil Petal Blast can turn everyone into a mushroom. You'll have to battle 8 smilax's before taking on the ringleader. Use Mario's Jump Special's to uproot the little guys. When they are out of commission, just beat the @#$% out of Megasmilax. The only thing to watch out for is his biting attack, which can take a toll on your HP. And remember to use therapy and group hug when Mega throws sleep and mushroom spells at your party.

WORLD 6 NIMBUS LAND

SHELLY...500 HP/BIRDO...777 HP
Don't worry about Shelly, she can't hurt you. When you bash her with enough attacks thou, Birdo pops out. Don't let the fact that Birdo is a woman fool you, she has amazing defenses and attacks. Sometimes when you press the B button, her eggs will bounce of you and hit her. Also use your strongest magic attacks (besides fire) to deplete her 777 HP.

VALENTINA...2000 HP/DODO...800 HP
Before you battle Valentina and Dodo, make Geno the middle member of your party and put Toadstool at the end. Now when you enter the fight, Dodo will whisk away Geno for a one on one duel. Dodo's not that difficult if you brace yourself and block his multistrike attacks. When Geno get's rid of enough of Dodo's HP, They will leave the battle to go back where Mario and Princess are battling Valentina. For this fight, make sure Princess is wearing the Trueform Pin and Mario wearing the Wake Up Pin. When Valentina is weak enough, Dodo and Geno will return to the scene. To finish Val & Dodo off, use Multiple enemy jump & fire moves.

CZAR DRAGON...1400 HP/ZOMBONE...1800 HP
Czar dragon absolutely hates ice, so pelt him with a huge barrel of snow while Mario uses the lazy shell against him. Make sure to watch your HP when Czar throws Water Blast, and heal with Toadstool. When Czar Dragon is defeated, he will turn into the dreadful Zombone, with 1800 HP. Do not use Ice against this form of Czar Dragon, he can be dealt with just plain ol regular attacks.

AXEM PINK...400 HP/AXEM GREEN...450 HP/AXEM BLACK...550 HP/AXEM YELLOW...600 HP/AXEM RED...800 HP/AXEM RANGERS...999 HP
This hilarious parody of the power rangers each have their one special defenses and weaknesses. Axem Pink loves a nice snowstorm, but fire will ruin her make up. Axem Green and Axem Red hate ice, but make sure not to use fire on Axem Red. Axem Yellow doesn't mind the thunder one bit, but he has a hard time dealing with jump. Axem Black and the Axem Rangers really hate Electricity

WORLD 7 SMITHY FACTORY 

MAGIKOOPA...1600 HP
This fight is so easy you'll laugh. It probably won't even last 30 seconds if you use regular attacks on Magikoopa.

BOOMER...2000 HP
The secret of defeating Boomer is this: When Boomer is a reddish color Magic Attacks work great on him but he'll take longer to beat with Regular moves, when Boomer is a bluish color, Magic Attacks don't work too well, but Regular attacks do. When you kill 2000 Hit points that are with Boomer, the chandeli-ho will bring you up to do battle with Exor.

EXOR...1800 HP/LEFT EYE...300 HP/RIGHT EYE...500 HP/NEOSQUID...800 HP
Magikoopa and Boomer were really easy, so you may expect Exor the sword to be...well your WRONG. Exor and his buddies are hard to take down. Toadstool's attacks are very helpful in this fight, Exor and his cohorts simply hate bomb attacks. When left eye, right eye, and Neosquid are gone, Exor is very vulnerable. Make sure you use a Crystalline Boost so his flashy attacks don't damage you as much.

COUNTDOWN...2400 HP/DING-A-LING...1200 HP
Countdown is pretty difficult. Make Toadstool wear the Trueform Pin, Bowser wearing the Quartz Charm (to protect against Countdown's dreaded Fear Roulette) and Mario wearing the Wake Up Pin. First, take out the Ding-A-Lings by Mario's Ultra jump and regular attacks. When they are vanquished, concentrate on regular attacks to kill Countdown. His attacks are harsh, but sometimes he'll take a break and your party can get two extra hits in.

DOMINO...900 HP/CLOAKER...1200 HP/MAD ADDER...1500 HP/EARTH LINK...2500 HP
If you destroy Cloaker first, Domino will retreat to Mad Adder, and if you destroy Domino first, Cloaker will hop on Earth Link's Back. I suggest you go with the latter. Earthlink's attacks cause 200+ HP damage, but luckily they can be blocked. Make sure at least one member of your party is wearing an antidote pin cause Earthlink does have some nasty poison moves. Don't worry about Cloaker, just concentrate on Earthlink. But if you don't want Cloaker to have a battle turn, wipe him out first then go attack Earthlink.
 

CLERK...500 HP/MANAGER...800 HP/DIRECTOR...1000 HP
This fight isn't hard at all, but the pounder and the poundette's that help them out are annoying. try to block their moves or you'll get an instant fear attack which will double the time it will take you to beat these sideshows.

P.S. (you actually fight Clerk, Manager and Directory separately but I figured it would just be easier to explain how to beat em all togheter)

FACTORY CHIEF...1000 HP/GUNYOLK...1500 HP
First take out Factory chief, and then do battle with Gunyolk. Watch out for Gunyolk's Breaker Beam which drains 3/4 of everyone's hit points. When these lowlifes are defeated, CONGRATULATIONS! you've reached Smithy...are you ready?

SMELTER...500 HP/SMITHY (first fight)...2000 HP/SMITHY (HEAD) 8000 HP/SMITHY (BODY)...1000 HP
It's time to face over 10000 of robotic hit points! In the first fight, Smith disguises himself as Santa Clause and comes with the monster making Smelter. You don't have to fight Smelter, but I recommend it since he's pretty annoying. Once Smelter is done with, it's time to fight Smithy. He's pretty easy, just use Bowser and Mario for attacking him, and Princess to heal every other turn. When you drain 2000 of his hit points, he will get so mad that his whole factory will explode and the four of you will fall down in a dark dungeon. This fight isn't as hard as it is long and tiring. Princess and Bowser should be attacking the Body to cripple Smithy, and Mario should be bashing the head. Watch out for the different forms of head's Smithy takes on, one can give you instant death. Hang in there and you'll eventually tire him out. Once you do, he'll get angry and his whole body will explode into a blithering mess.
