A Cleansing Ritual & Energy
Charging
This ritual is best performed during the
first phase of a new moon. The
new moon (waxing) is good for beginnings,
cleansing, and the charging of
articles. This is a special Cleansing
Ritual, and may be used during a
time of need, to charge objects, to
cleanse and restore positive energy
to yourself or the area around you.
This rite helps bring one closer to the Goddess. It is useful in
banishing
negative feelings. It may be done anyplace where one needs to
cleanse an
area, or their person. It may be performed by one, or several
persons in a
Small Circle.
You, and those you wish to perform
this ritual with, should be comfortable
in your surroundings. It does no
good if you are worried about someone
seeing or hearing you. You may wear
anything, or nothing at all. Amulets
and jewelry may be worn as desired
with one exception - do not bring a
watch, or any time piece, into the
Circle. Time stops in the circle, and
having a pager go off while you are
working destroys the connection you
are trying to form with the Goddess.
Amulets and other pieces of jewelry
will absorb the blessings, and retain
a charge. Special objects may also
be placed inside the Circle to absorb a
positive charge. When they are
charged over and over, they will grow in
strength. These objects, jewelry,
and amulets can assist the you in other
rituals.
I use the following in small containers:
Sea
Salt
Water - pure spring or Consecrated water is best.
A container
with a mild mixture of sea salt and consecrated water.
Candles, one for
each person present.
One should prepare for the ritual by forming the
Small Circle about themselves.
Trace the outside of the Circle with the
salt and water mix. Inside the Circle
invoke the sign of the pentagram,
and Invoke the Elements.
Once you are done calling quarters, speak
these words -
I call on the power of the
Goddess.
Power to the Earth.
Let the circle remain unbroken.
Light the candles, placing them in front of you, or if there
are others,
to the right and left. Pour some of the water into the empty
container.
Place a small amount of the sea salt into the water container
and place
it at your feet.
Speak these words:
I call on the power of the Goddess.
As we begin so shall we end.
Accept
this small offering.
Power to the Earth.
Let the circle remain
unbroken.
Place yourself down into the tenth level. Let
your mind clear of all
thoughts. Start by forming a small clear orb
between your hands. Feel
the warmth grow. Pull your hands farther and
farther apart, making the
now bright orb expand. Picture yourself aglow
inside that cleansing,
white light. Extend the light out to touch the
articles you have place
on and around you, and let it touch any items you
wish to be cleansed.
Remember to breath deeply, and feel the peace and
calm wash over you and
your surroundings. If you are reaching out to one
in need, place an image
of the person inside the light with you.
Take your time, let the positive energy build up around you. Feel it being
absorbed into you, those you wish to assist, and the objects you placed
inside your circle.
When you are ready to begin the blessing, read the
following aloud:
Bless me Goddess, for I am Thy
daughter.
Dip the first two fingers of your right hand
into the water mix and anoint
the eyes:
Blessed Be my eyes, that I may see Thy path.
Anoint the nose:
Blessed Be my nose, that I
may breath Thy essence.
Anoint the mouth:
Blessed Be my mouth, that I may speak of Thee.
Anoint the breasts:
Blessed Be my breasts, that I may be faithful in my works.
Anoint the loins:
Blessed
Be my loins, which bring forth the life of humanity as Thou
has brought
forth all creation.
Anoint the feet:
Blessed Be my feet, that I may always walk in Thy ways.
Close your eyes and look again at the light surrounding you. Know
that
this peace will become part of you and your surroundings. You will
carry
it inside of you always. All negative influences will be negated,
and all
evil banished.
When you are ready, bring yourself up to
the first level. You will be
calm and relaxed. Your amulets and items of
influence will be charged.
As a final offering, take what is left of the
salt water and speak
these words:
Goddess,
accept this small offering that You may always be within me.
Drink the salt water, touch the fingers of your right hand to your
forehead and say the following words to begin the opening of the
Circle:
May your blessings always be a part of
my life.
Give closing thanks to the Quarters and Elements,
and call the circle open.
