USS Bata Ship's Log. 9806.01
After a recent promotion Captain Mudra sits on the bridge, scanning through the reports and statistics, from the away-crews on Alpha Colony 12-1 and Planet Phlox. Sir, states the lieutenant at comms, "The USS Mariner is enroute, Warp 8, ETA twelve hours". Great, send a reply lieutenant, thank VAdm for the assistance. Inform her to ready her medical crews, prepare sickbays and shuttlecraft for their arrival, and also inform her that the Mariner will be taking up orbit around Alpha Colony 12-1. Their shuttlecraft will be used to transport civilians from the surface through the atmosphere where they will be beamed to either the Mariner's sickbays or planet Phlox. "Sir another incoming transmission………from the USS Akagi, they are still under repair after the battle against the Dominion and can not assist". Thank you lieutenant….….Sir! Shuttlecraft 17A on the transporter relay is reporting that their pattern buffers have burnt out and also loss of power through out the rest of the vessel. Ok, how many shuttles are ready for launch…one Sir…the "Gladius" a type-6 light short-range Shuttlecraft, we can launch it immediately if you wish, Make it so. Captain Mudra proceeds to the Primary Sickbay to see for himself how the evacuation and treatment of the sick and wounded is going. Sir incoming transmission from the Quicksilver…put it through to the chief medical officer's monitor, yes Sir. "Captain, we are on course to Alpha Colony 12-1, we will be there in 7 hours, soon"… Comms send reply to RAdm Threats IV, thank him for his prompt response, alter course slightly for the Aegis system, 233 mark 67, on their arrival if they can take up orbit around Planet Phlox, this will reduce the need for so many shuttlecraft in the transporter relay. Also prepare the Quicksilver's Sickbays and medical crews, for sick and injured colonists and security and engineering crew to aid in the establishment of quarters and habitats on the Planets surface. Comms, send a transmission to the away-crews on both the Colony and Planet Phlox, advise them that the Transporter relay is down for about 1hour, and that the USS Quicksilver will arrive in 7 hours and the USS Mariner in 12 hours, Aye Sir. "Captain, this is Doctor Cross, can I see you immediately in Science lab 3."…."On my way Doctor". What has the Doctor discovered, and will it produce a treatment for the strange disease most of the colonists have? Will we be able to get all of the colony off the doomed planet and to their New World on Planet Phlox in the nearby Aegis system?

The USS Mariner made its way to the colony and made contact with the USS Bata. Kbee was glad to be back in command of her vessel but the bridge felt some-what empty with out Captain Gibney. They had left him behind at Station Delta, while Commodore Sati took up her position of CMO of the Mariner. Commodore Sati had checked through the mission logs so far and was very shocked at what she had read. She was looking forward to the challenge of being back in the medical field, after being stuck behind the desk of Station Delta Command. But she wasn't looking forward to the particular task that she had been assigned. She had placed Sickbay, and lab staff on alert and requested that all available space be turned into isolation chambers or labs so that when the ship arrived in orbit of the colony they could work to solve the raging virus. "Contact the USS Bata again and inform them we will be there in 2 hours. Ask them to inform the moment the Quicksilver takes orbit." "Aye Sir."
