Truth in Action throughout HABAKKUK

TRUTH that Habakkuk teaches ACTION that Habakkuk invites
1. Steps toward a dynamic devotion
GOD requires that we convert our relationship with Him into something of the highest priority, that we place our deepest doubts and cares in His hands, and await his response and guidance.
2:1
Regularly set aside a time and place to worship the LORD. Dedicate time to hear his Word when you read, study and meditate upon Scripture. Be constant in daily prayer.

2:2,3
Meditate on those things that GOD tells you or introduces into your heart. Take note of the biblical promises that He makes a reality in your life, and assert them firmly in the trust that he will fulfill them.

2. The life of faith
When all the circumstances of our life offer a negative picture, in the case of a loss or a personal failure, or due to something that causes us grief or pain, that is the moment to place our faith in GOD and his Word. Thus we can have an inkling of the glorious end of it all through GOD's eyes. This makes us worship and praise GOD even in the midst of the worst circumstances.
2:4; 3:16-19
Decide to praise, worship and give thanks to GOD for his faithfulness, no matter how devastating the circumstances may be. Look with the eyes of faith to the foreseen future of GOD's plan.
3. A path toward holiness
Although some think that idols are only material images, what truly characterizes the idol is the place that it occupies in a person's life. Any person, thing or desire that places an obstacle on the road to giving yourself totally to the LORD, is an idol and must be eliminated.
2:18-20
Examine yourself! Ask yourself the question, "Is there anything in my life that hinders me from obeying GOD?" Tear down any idol that exists in your life, humbling yourself before GOD and refusing any other interest that tries to dominate your heart.
4. Keys for a wise life
The popular theory of success that is centered in personal power and the amount of wealth can be described as a deceptive trap. The wise person defines success in light of GOD's plan for his life. Living in a way that honors GOD, and resting in his promises, represents having success.
2:9
Know that success according to the world is vain. Build your house, your life and your vocation, upon the rock of the Word of GOD.

2:12-14
Plan your life according to the wisdom of GOD. Be successful in Him.
