Truth in Action throughout II CHRONICLES

TRUTH that II Chronicles teaches ACTION that II Chronicles invites
1. Steps toward holiness
Holiness requires that we be careful about those with whom we choose to have relationships. Not only must we avoid the injustice and values of the world, we must refuse to support them or join with those who promote them.
19:2
Be careful that you don't promote the skeptic or help those whose actions contradict the Scriptures and offend GOD.

28:23
Avoid the evil practice of pragmatism. Don't employ procedures or practices that you suspect of lacking ethics or contradicting the faith, even when they promise success.

2. Steps toward a dynamic devotion
Scripture gives constant testimony that all those whose hearts are totally dedicated to GOD receive his blessings. Dedication due to - halfheartedness - inevitably leads to a sporadic relationship with GOD and mediocrity in one's spiritual life.
1:10-12
Trust that GOD honors those who depend on divine wisdom to carry out the work that He has assigned them.

15:2-4
Trust that if you seek GOD with all your heart you will surely find Him.

16:9
Keep your heart always dedicated to the LORD. Know that the LORD will strengthen and prosper you in that way.

3. Steps toward a humble life
The humble person sees himself from the perspective of his relationship with the Almighty GOD. A truly humble individual considers others above himself because this attitude permits him to consider himself from a better perspective. The humble person also is thankful for what he receives from the LORD and isn't vain about his successes or prosperity.
2:6
Understand that GOD fills the entire Universe. Know that nothing that the human being constructs can contain his greatness. The most that we can do is to reflect his glory.

7:14
Identify with the sins committed by the nation to which you belong, confessing them as your own. Repent and humble yourself. Seek the face of GOD to recover his blessings, and believe with all your heart that He will bless you.

26:16
Pass the test of prosperity.

32:25
Watch out for prideful feelings when you achieve success. Don't forget that pride leads to sin. Repent if it has seized you.

4. Key lessons in faith
Faith is rooted in GOD's testimony in the Scripture as the Holy Spirit communicates to us. Consequently, to grow in faith one must always receive and believe the testimony that Scripture offers us and be faithful to its message.
20:20
Guard your spiritual vision. Believe in the Bible as the Word of GOD. Rest in its testimony about the nature of GOD, his character and the divine promises. Believe those who proclaim the Word of GOD. Trust in the prophetic "words" pronounced by men and women dedicated to GOD.

20:22
Support and believe in prayer as a powerful and effective spiritual weapon.

5. Instructions for obtaining the victory
The revelation of GOD in Exodus 17 as "my banner" always assures victory to GOD's people. Victory in spiritual battles comes when we know that the LORD fights for us. This is what it means to rest in the LORD and expect his salvation.
13:18
Rest in divine wisdom, strength and resources when you face spiritual opposition. This is the most direct way to victory.

14:11; 32:7,8
Rest in the LORD when unbelievers persecute you. Don't forget that man, who is a finite being, can't prevail against GOD.

20:15-25
Implore GOD's presence. Rest in it when you face any opposition. Know that the battle isn't yours, but the LORD's. Trust in the LORD to fight in your place.

6. Key for contentment
Contentment results from knowing that the LORD is always ready to help those who trust in Him.
25:9
Never allow financial considerations to dictate your behavior. Know that GOD will give you everything that you need to fulfill his will. Confess your sins of bad stewardship, and accept GOD's forgiveness; then, obey Him.
7. Lessons for leaders
The spiritual leader praised in Scripture is the one who instructs GOD's people in his Word, making sure that they know its integrity and are prepared to obey it. GOD always honors those who exclusively proclaim the message that He has put on their lips.
14:4
Leaders, teach GOD's people to seek the LORD and put his Word into practice. Trust that the LORD will prosper those who do so.

17:9
Leaders, make sure that GOD's people are well instructed and know the Scriptures.

18:7-17
Leaders, make haste to proclaim only what GOD commands you. Maintain a reputation of being people on whose lips the Word of GOD always is.
