I'd been roleplaying on Harper's Tale MOO for about a year and a half, when I decided I wanted to try and create and keep an alt nice and active. So, Tilarekna - daughter of my long running NPC character, B'oat - was 'born', with a super-long name and chirpy personality. I set her up in Ista Weyr, and unleashed the weyrbrat on the unsuspecting weyr. And I had fun, too.

But then I went to college, where the only real access was on the weekends, since a nasty firewall on the server stopped any MOOing via java. And then I went to America, where there would be lots of access to be had. And was had. And lost a week or so before the Hatching at Ista Weyr, which I'd been picked as a Candidate for. I was heartbroken, but placed all my character on the no-reap lists and idled out for over a year while my education sorted itself out.

Finally, I returned to the game, with more access than I could shake a stick at. Tilarekna was older now, and I needed an excuse as to where she'd been for so long (I decided she'd been ill and sent to Fort, where once she'd recovered had been asked to Stand at Fort weyr. Obviously, she didn't Impress..). I arrived back in time to get to know the candidates snatched at Ista for the latest IC hatching, and made new friends, hung out with old ones, and generally got back into the swing of things.

And then, the OOC Search for High Reaches Weyr opened. Once I'd had an alt there, Yvette, who idled out since I didn't know how to play her anymore. But I remembered the fun and enjoyment I had while I was there, and thought, hey, lets try for a dragon one last time. So off went my application, and several of my friends and I all grinned and wished each other luck. And lo, Lis swooped down and carried me off for HRW Candidacy.

I know everyone pretty much says the same thing, but these guys were undeniably some of the most fun RPers I've ever had the privilage of meeting. I think we all bonded pretty closely, and I know that I, regardless of the outcome, would be happy if all my friends Impressed. Candidacy was a blast, and I wish all the members of Search and CandieCo for the 6th High Reaches Hatching (The /Real/ Last Search of the Millenium!) my greatest thanks for a wonderful time. On Friday, 8th December 2000, Hatching Happened, and I finally achieved something I'd never hoped would happen: On my third try at being a Candidate, Tilarekna becoming Ilare, Impressed on the Sands of High Reaches Weyr her new lifemate, Brown Chanticoth, the most wonderful, perfect dragon ever! ^_^

03/05/2001 --- @.@ Good LORD, It's been a while! Umm..
Well, for the moment, only the links and Character History pages have been updated,
but there are more (MANY more..) logs are still to come.... ^^;

16/01/2001 -- Ilare's History page has been updated, cleaned up
and had a brand new picture added to boot! I've also added a Links Page,
and you can expect to see a Gallery page some time in the near future.

12/01/2001 -- 7 More logs have been added to the Logs page, under Kamikaze Weyrlinghood! (What, you were perhaps expecting maybe a links page? Heh, it'll arrive.. Eventually.. ;)
