A Bad, Bad Man...

Choose rotting away at the end of it all in hut in the desert, nothing more than an embarassment to the selfish brats that you hid from their evil father. Choose your destiny. Choose the Light Side. I chose not to choose the Light Side. I chose something else..."

In a highly unexpected and ground-breaking plot twist, Episode III is rumoured to reveal that Anakin is in fact fated to become Darth Vader. That means he is Luke's dad.
Also, he is to marry Natalie Portman. In actual real life. She is Luke's (and Leia's, but she's just a girl) mum. This means that Vader (see above) and Queen Amidala were "special friends". Eww.
Anakin's story begins, oddly enough, in Episode 1, where he is a small boy with a large head. Rescued from slavery in a sand-pit, he goes off to become a Jedi.
At some point during the next two films, he decides that he wants to go evil and kill everyone. As you do.
After a mishap with a volcano, little orphan Ani gets a suit of black armour and a swishy cloak. He is become Darth, Bringer of Badness. He kills lots and lots of people, including Ee-wan. Finally he himself is killed by the Evil Emperor, in a redemption-type-plotline.
