(Updated: 3/6/09) The final batch of ratings are in and they never really strayed from the season-long routine. And, PR hasn't been on cable for just about a month and that absence didn't give cause to a bump in the ratings for the last batch of ABC reruns. Will the viewers catch on that RPM is only on ABC and that these Saturday time slots (a- if their station carries it and b- if they can find it on the schedule) are the ONLY place to see RPM? I don't think there's any chance of RPM's ratings coming anywhere close to the ABC-first seasons of WF and NS but I'm curious to see if it can get higher than OO and maybe even close to the 0.9 level of SPD and DT.

You know what? I'm ready to call RPM a success if it can achieve an average rating of at least 0.75 -- considering that viewers in 14 of the top 50 markets can't see the show at all and 17 more move it to some pre-dawn hour. Only 19 of the top 50 markets will show RPM at the time the network has it on the schedule.

If RPM's ratings are no different from JF's, then we're really looking at a TV entity that barely merits time on the air.

A long straight line usually means a stretch of pre-emptions or unreported ratings. (SPD 30-42 is eight football pre-empts and four weeks where the ratings were such that the 0.95 average didn't change) Week 22 is omitted from the chart since there was no report that week for PRMF and was/is a pre-emption for SPD and PROO. Also, since it took ABC a total of 54 weeks to show all of SPD and PROO, some of the unreported weeks at the end of the run were omitted in order to fit into the site's limit of 50 spaces.

This one shows the week-by-week ratings of the four programs. PRJF has entered the second half of its run on ABC, so the main chart switches over to the other chart.

I'm making one change in advance of adding a FIFTH color (red for RPM) to the charts. The average chart above won't be any different. But the week-by-week chart below is just getting too crowded with all the dots as well as the lines. So, only the current season gets the tracking line from dot to dot. The previous seasons will only have the dots. It will help you see show the current season is doing.

(2/16/09 note:) Here's something just as a comparison note. In the Feb. 7 ratings on Toon Disney, the Phineas & Ferb episode that now runs in the 8:30 a.m. slot where JF used to be got a 1.4 rating. That tramples anything that PR got in three seasons.
