All of my favourite people!

Well, here it is, a whole page dedicated to all of my lovely, wonderful friends (if they EVER visit my site!)

I'll start with my online friends, seeing as this is a website (it seems appropriate), and seeing as how they're the only ones who've visited...

Where do I start? There's so many of them! People I've met through the Zen Room, in no particular order are...

OK, now for my offline friends, if they ever deign to visit this site, after all the effort I put in, and all the complaining and the excited running around the room and the... oh, right... who are they? OK... sorry.

Again, these are in no particular order, possibly vaguely alphabetical...

  • Aisha - the Med student. Very brainy and very ditzy at the same time... but I have no idea how she manages it. We only ever argue on Duke of Edinburgh when we end up sounding like a married couple: "Well YOU do the bloody washing up then! I put the tent up!", but the rest of the time we get on fine. Strange that - can't IMAGINE why I quit at Silver... What can I say, I've known her for seven years, nearly eight now and it's been an experience... here's hoping for many more! (And, Aish, I still maintain that half of that GSCE English Coursework cup should be mine since I punctuated all your essays! :P)
  • Crystal - the Physicist... yes, I know, but we tried to talk her out of it! She makes a good rabbit, a good Transylvanian, a good dancer, a good mate... a good everything! My own personal Eddie Izzard jukebox! In manner of apologising for laughing at her because she fancied Ben Browder (Crichton), I shall now say - start preparing your Nobel Prize acceptance speech! And she can't type... self confessed typo queen :)
  • Rachel - WOOHOO! Another Voyager fan, but not nearly as obsessive as me... the only one who actually (vaguely) listened to my rantings about the new episodes (I'm just a walking Sky satellite dish to you, aren't I? Kidding.) Still thanking her for inviting me down to her Uni to see Craig Charles - and I still can't remember what made me double over laughing. This girl is far too energetic for my liking... but that is all part of the person that is Rachel... possibly my sanest friend... when she's not hyper.
  • Salma - my best friend in first year, then not for about three, then good friends again for another three. Her love of the Mafia and group culture does worry me a little, but, no, really, she's a lovely person. She'll kill me for saying that, too, but since she'll probably never get here to read it, I'm not going to worry.
  • Jenn - Crystal's mad mate. My first penpal despite living in the same city... she's had to put up with my looooooong letters (I think the last one was somewhere in the region of about 60 sides A4!). That honour is now bestowed on Traci (and I will get that letter sent!). I think she'll never go ice-skating with me and Crystal again since we always end up having some kind of accident... and we certainly know how to laugh! :)
  • Lorna - OK, where do I start here? Fellow dancing girl (:P), goth-in-town and general freak. She does an uncanny impression of Jigglypuff :) And she introduced me to her 'interesting' friends (Spike et al) for which I am eternally grateful! What else? Oh yes, she makes a brilliant Columbia... (no, Lorna, you can NOT kiss the Tranny when she comes out the stage door!)she has a website which you must visit, she's witty, intelligent... you get the idea.
  • Clare - member two of the Quartet. I can never thank her enough for not only remaining true to her word and doing it in the first place, but putting up with it twice! I would have thought the lack of rehearsal the first time was enought to put anyone off... just a shame we couldn't irritate the general public a third time. The Red Thread London experience was exactly that - an experience! "Ay-up BAH! Awimbewe..." :) Fellow POTO fan, nowhere near as obsessive as me though, quoter of "Goooooormanghaaaaast" for weeks ("We could, couldn't we... we could... KILL him!"), she makes a fantastic bat ;), another goth-in-town and almost as embarrassing as Spike. (Just kidding!)
  • Vickie - wooo, well I've argued so many times with this girl it's a miracle we're still friends! It's all astrological, don'tcha know. I'm sure the *cough* "BIG" incident is forever embossed on her memory as much as mine.... we've done too many things to justify in a paragraph of text. Oh, and Jo Gibb 4eva, baby! And leave Stephan alone, dammit!
  • Jennifer - I'm missing this girl like hell, I haven't seen her since *thinks* must be July or August. I still haven't forgiven her for losing my mouse... hehehe, although the tickets to Rocky made up for it ("He's got a saggy bum.") and not to mention THAT cinema trip when we got stuck on the bus with a hen party... She's pretty, funny, absolutely lovely to know and could beat Charlotte Church any day!
  • Naomi/Noppenheim/Nopps/Noppy/Evangelical Plumber/Duh/Mudfish... - this girl has far too many nicknames, I think this is about a quarter of them! She's 16 going on 50 (like Wednesday but scarier), has a rather unhealthy obsession with the Crow, Spike, Jareth - believe it or not, someone is actually worse than me! Another of those goths-in-town, and most probably the best at it. Her ability to impersonate Richard O'Brien as Riff Raff still gets me worried. One day I might actually get our truly wonderful song parodies up that wouldn't be here without her intervention. You will be able to read them soon, alongside our Star Trek Survival Guide, here. Also, go here to see her other site - and very good it is, too. :) She also made all my cargo ship interiors look all rusty, smoky and cargo-shippy rather than nice, clean and Starfleety, so you have her to thank for the lack of visibility around here :)
  • 'Yoda' - the ex-boyfriend. It was all very amicable. Better summed up right here, so go visit!

OK, now for my new friends and people I've met this year who I need to mention.

  • Ema, Sian, Alex, Katherine, Dee, Klara, Sarah - all the gals from Oakerthorpe! The "Yorkshire lasses", fellow Brummygans, a drunkard (just kidding!), see what I had to put up with! No, seriously, it was a great year getting to know you all.
  • All the Chorus people (Anne, Anne, Jenny, Clare et al.) - too many talented people! I can't cope! We've certainly all had a lot of fun, and I certainly hope we can carry on having a lot more fun this year :)
  • Angela (who will murder me for giving her a section to herself...) - my duet partner :) Phantom obsessor (we will see it, WE WILL!), great singer, fellow (other) soprano. I have several things to mention here: 1) "Gaudete" - four times the original speed was (ahem) 'fun' enough, but as for the verses... I don't think we'll forget that in a hurry (Tempus ad est gratiae, hoc quod optabamus, carmina laetitiae, devote redamus... hehehe!) and 2) "World In Union" - iiiiiick... 3) Twisted every way... (Bonzi style... LOL) and 4) "Meeee!" ;)
  • Lloyd and Derek - why am I putting them here, you ask? Because I only met them this year. Lloyd five times, Derek four... two insane individuals I am quite happy to know... (who either know the meaning of 'frell', or at the very least, can be taught...)

I do believe that's everyone! I hope no-one kills me for this...

So that's all the people who brighten my day!
