After the Empire caught on to his dealings in the illegal chemical Ryll, Bib escaped his home planet of Ryloth and got a job as a Glitterstim Spice import/export agent for Jabba the Hutt. Bib later asked for another position, and Jabba, surprisingly, made him a leitenant. He led a fleet of ships to his homeworld and enslaved many Twi'leks. Jabba was impressed with his organizational skills, and made him his majordomo. On another trip to Ryloth, he kidnapped Oola, a clan leader's daughter. He presented her as a gift to Jabba. When Luke Skywalker used the Jedi mind trick to force Bib to allow him entrance, Bib knew Jabba would probably kill him. But when Jabba's barge was destroyed, Bib made a narrow escape back into the palace, only to have his brain removed and placed in a droid by the Bo'marr monks. Eventually, Bib was able to transplant his brain into the body of another Twi'lek, making him the only being in history to escape the Bo'marr monks. |
Olla was kidnapped by Bib Fortuna and given as a gift to Jabba the Hutt. She was less than impressed by the Hutt, and was an unesthusiastic dancer. When Luke Skywalker came to Jabba's palace, he promised to save Oola. With the hope of escape, Oola danced better than ever for her master. But when she refused to do more than dance at a distance, Jabba became enraged and threw her to the rancor. |
