At the age of 35 he became Obi-Wan Kenobi's Master.
All that is known about his homeworld is that it has a River of Light. This is known because he gave Obi-Wan a rock from that river.
He has had 3 Padawan Learners. The first one is unknown. The second is a boy that came from a rich family named Xanatos. The third and final one is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had a near 20 year Master - Apprentice relationship.
Qui-Gon found a young boy named Anakin Skywalker.
The day that he and Obi-Wan battled the evil Darth Maul, he was killed. Darth Maul cheap shotted him by hitting his wrists which knocked his lightsaber out of his hands and stabbing him in the mid-section. Qui-Gon then asked Obi-Wan to train the young Anakin Skywalker.
